He only shades other brands if he doesn't like the products and/or thinks they're too expensive for what you get, or if he dislikes the people behind the brand. I don't mind that kind of shade, I want the truth. Everyone is that way, we all have our personal feelings, but he generally tries to be objective or just not feature brands he entirely doesn't like. He doesn't knock other brands to make his own look like the only good option, was the point. Even though his products are better than most, imo. I think he does like Rihanna/Fenty, and that makes him more positive going in, but he was pretty clear that he didn't care for everything here. He doesn't need money or pr from brands and that's what keeps his reviews honest compared to a lot of the big gurus. The only company he promotes that I don't think is great is Morphe, and he does work with them but I also can't remember the last time I've seen him using their makeup on video. It's certainly not the same level as some of the others constantly pushing codes and collabs etc.

I don’t understand the comments saying Jeffree wasn’t being honest, I mean though some of those shades weren’t as “blinding” Jeffree was obviously keeping in mind that not everyone likes blinding colours/highlights for their looks. The product may be expensive but you’re not just paying for crazy colouring, you’re also paying for an excellent formula as well as versatility. Plus makeup in general is a luxury concept so of course it will have a luxury price. He didn’t say everything was Jeffree star approved, only select items, which doesn’t necessarily mean that the non approved products aren’t good which gives him no reason to “dig into them.” He openly explained that some products didn’t work for him but just because he didn’t say anything that could be considered shady, it doesn’t mean he isn’t being honest lmao.

Love how honest you are even though it’s Rihanna. I love her and what she stands for but some of these are a bit underwhelming but they definitely have a lot of potentials to look stunning and they’re great to incorporate with an everyday looks, adding fun pop of colours. Love: The copper and lavender eye. The black and bronze ombré lip. Covered up the blue half of your face and that lip and eye were actually so beautiful together. These seem to be high quality products. Also love the “periwinkle fantasy” lip, as you called it! Not crazy about the blue under and below the eye, and wasn’t wowed by the highlighters.
