I terrorized that town in 1972 at 16 years old. Had a 1960 blue Volvo. Local cop hated me.

my aunt rita and collins jammerman lived there and i do believe she is still on ranch . he worked also at mine and died of cancer i believe . her sons said it would take a stick of dynamite to blow her off the place . loved visiting here when i was a boy and learning the cowboy life !!

We stopped in at the Sage Brush Inn (or bar- my memory is faint here) there in Jeffery, a rough looking bar initially, but full of friendly locals. They insisted we (females) not pay for any drinks-- it was a sweltering hot day..... we were introduced to Beer Floats--- a memory to last a life time ! :)

I have a lot of bad memories of living here. No matter what the population was it was still just a mining camp. There were a lot of drunkards and a lot of predators here.
