I’m so excited to see more of Maggie and Negan’s dynamic. One of my favorite things in the end was how, when they had that final conversation, Negan just shut up and listened to Maggie; something season 7 Negan would never do. There will always be that dark history between them and honestly, it’s unforgivable, yet they have to learn to rely on and trust each other. I think it’s great character writing and I hope they don’t screw it up

At nearly 63 years of age I have never ever seen a character literally steal a show like the character of Negan. I think the coolest thing is when a super villian redeems his or her self. In the case of Negan i found myself wanting to see him killed initially, i saw no good in him. But every good story needs a bad guy to breathe life and realism into it. Negan certainly fit the bill. It was even better seeing him redeem himself. I will watch all spinoffs but Maggie and Negan I look forward to the most

Negan was only bad from Rick's point of view. Negan probably felt Rick and his group were the bad people too. It all just depends on whose eyes you're looking through. Negan was doing what he thought he had to to keep his people alive too.

@@ericmayle8510 That's definitely true. In the eyes of both characters, they're bad with the decision they made to kill each of their communities. Negan really grew on me the moment he started having interactions with Judith. He's a really good person but judged because of his actions in season 6

@@waaasaaap9791 That's not "definitely true". Rick's group don't have their hands clean but Negan was not "only bad from Rick's point of view." The former Negan burned people alive, branded people with an iron, forced people to be his wives, and also people claim Rick's group attacked the Saviors first but if you go back, you see the Saviors threaten Sasha, Abraham, and Daryl unprovoked. Those three gave the Saviors what they wanted, but the Saviors tried to kill them anyway before Daryl blew them up with a bazooka. Also the Saviors forced people to surrender their resources and if they didn't, the Saviors would kill them. Sometimes even kids. Even the redeemed Negan says that he was a bad man and doesn't want to be like that anymore. It's a morally complex world but to say Negan was only bad from Rick's point of view is wrong, even Negan doesn't think that. And the writers don't think that either.

I agree, I am even more excited about these two new show, Maggie has been my favorite since Season 2, when she started, my other favs are Carol and Daryl, and Michonne! This will get me scolded by the grammar Nazis, among others, but Rick has never been my favorite, not even close, of the guys I always liked Daryl over any of the others! And it's not about looks or anything, it's just he was more interesting and if he made a mistake it was more understandable, because he wasn't a cop, Rick got a lot of people killed being stupid, sometimes because of being TOO soft, other times by being TOO crazy and channeling his psychopath friend Shane! When Rick left and Daryl, Maggie and Michonne were left to lead together, it was some of the best of the show to me, and I'm not blaming Andrew Lincoln, I'm blaming the writers and directors!

Take my WORD, this spinoff will be the best of all TWD universe. Norman will be hurtin without his Queen Carol. Lauren and JDM have such good on camera chemistry. I am super excited for this series. I was hyped for carol and daryl until she wanted out due to being overseas. Even Rick and Negan chemistry isnt as good as these two. Love the fact that they went the route where she doesnt forgive him. Thank you Angela for making it realistic of how Humans act. Instead of listening to fans "she should forgive him."

Maggie is so far away from the farmer's daughter, where she began. Lauren has made me love Maggie. Watching her develop her survival skills and weather the trauma(s) she has suffered throughout all the rage. Not everyone survives and those who do become forces to reckon with. Rick had that. Then when he left we watched Maggie rise up and take the lead. I love Maggie so much! And Lauren makes her the character she is. She is beautiful and in my opinion never needs a stich of makeup. She is gorgeous!

Yeah, cause it sucks now. It's a shell of its former self. I'll restate my hypotheticals. For those who have trouble understanding. In a perfect world, where Glenn wasn't killed off, and the show didn't go to crap, and there was no Negan.... and the actor hadn't gone off to do other things... this would be Glenn's role. Because at the end of the day, Daryl, Maggie, Rick, & Michonne actors will gladly take that spinoff paycheck. Only person who truly demanded to leave the show was Dale... everyone else, if the money is right, will stay.

It’s quite a complex interaction between the two, their chemistry off screen may not be the same on screen. Secondly, it’s not that easy for a woman to forgive someone who killed her husband.
