In tourist areas like Cancun iguanas are pretty much domesticated. They are very used to being fed by tourists and they will climb up you if they see you have food which you aren't giving them. Then once they are on your lap and you give them a piece of your fruit cup, they stay there until there is no more fruit cup. Then they leave you be with no more fruit cup. I'm glad friendly Raccoons in my native land aren't like this...

when i was 13, my family went on a trip to st. john and we stopped by the nearby st. thomas island for a day. we had booked a snorkeling trip and the boat captain actually took us to snorkel around epstein’s island. keep in mind, this was well before epstein’s death or even before news about epstein was well known. the captain informed us about the stories he had heard, as it was fairly well known in the area, and he had made many trips around the island. definitely trippy to see his name pop up in world news years later

back in 1984 when i was 12 I went on a windjammer cruise with my folks and every day the sailing ship stopped at different islands and one of the days we stopped at a deserted private island the owner of the cruise line had permission to use the beach in one of the lagoons on the island and they had a beach party on the island. that island was little st James Island. but I'm pretty sure it was before Epstetine owned it and it was before anyone lived on the island and the only building was a grass hut bar that was on the beach on the lagoon that women who lived on one of the other near by islands ran whenever the ship would stop there and other private beach parties that other people who had sailboats that could make it into the cove to get to the beach. . The place was literally a paradise. and really freaky to know that it later became Epstein's pedo party island. and that lagoon was also the very same one that when some of Epstein's victims speak of is the same part of the island I was one when i was 12.

In 2004 my parents purchased a Vacation home on the island of St Thomas. Every other year we travel to st Thomas and stay for about 1 month . Epstein’s island was a short boat ride away and Throughout the years we would hear stories about it being privately owned by a lavish Billionaire who loved to party . As a child I thought this was the coolest thing and glorified the hell out of it . If a friend came to visit I would surely tell the story about this island and it’s folklore. It wasn’t until late 2019 that we connected the dots and realized this was THE Pedofile island owned by Epstein. We went back January of 2020 and it was quite creepy to see the island again and hear many of the stories from locals .

I realized this not to long ago. I lived on saint Thomas for like 4 years. This was in like 2013ish. I used to work at the Caribbean fish market and sangreas. So I basically was looking at that island every day. Always wondered about it. Come to find out what it was after being back in the states years later is just nuts

I could be wrong but I think the secret service doesn't just patrol the area right below the approach and will secure the area beyond it incase you have a missed approach and need to go around. Those rocks are about 8-10 miles from the airport so on a go around a 747 would be over that area with the rocks in about 3 minutes. It seems the flight path would go right over those areas. So it's not unfeasible to think they will secure the a large area where the flight path and go around path would be.

Very true. Very possible. When we left the island the plane made a climbing turn to the right. I was sitting on the left side and I could see the rocks and the island a ways off to the left.
