He should ride on 350 cc, he can't ride 450.

and why is that? he's taller and heavier than Cairoli, and Cairoli has definitely choosen the 450 over the 350. besides Herlings has shown that he can ride the 450 (winning motos at MXoN, Velkins supermotocross cup, Dutch masters...

Yes, but don't forget Herlings can win on his 250 bike against MXGP guys, he is so used to it, so I think 350 would be perfect for him - more power and almost the same handling and feeling.

used to it? Herlings won on a 250 against 450s only once, at MXoN 2012, just like Cairoli did in 2006; and Villopoto did it 3 times. but if Cairoli, the rider who's got the most successful experience on a 350, thinks it isn't a good idea anymore that means something... in fact the new bikes are lighter and deliver more power smoothly.
