Fully aware of the political headwinds, Jeff Sachs nonetheless formulates and inspires intelligent efforts to mitigate injustice and to advance sustainable development.

There may be 193 countries but with respect to global warming emergency we are all sitting in one BOAT. We have to cooperate and keep peace. More power to the U.N. and and more capital to the less developed countries to transform to solar & wind power.🌻

Jeffrey Sachs should be given center stage. We all should push our leaders even harder to help solve the issue we face. It seems so clear of a path.

In these global events everyone has a different axe to grind. The bussiness money making, politicians being on the power, people something that will improve the quality of life etc and we need someone like Prf Sachs who is intelligent, sees the bigger picture, has global peace and sustainability in mind whose feet are firmly pn the ground and is fearless to speak the truth. I salute you.

There is a Chinese saying by Zhuang Zi 出自庄周《庄子·天下》。- 大同小异 which literally means we all have 'Big similarities and Small differences'. Exactly what Dr Sachs is saying!

“大同小異” to me is "more or less the same, not much difference"😉

All Men are brothers! Confucius sayings, 四海之内皆兄弟! Prof. Sachs's cultural approach to regional cooperation for zero sum electricity system is indeed consistent with Confucianism.

My respect and admiration for Prof Jeffrey Sachs remain unchangeable. This is a man who is really colour blind and free of prejudice. This is the real human rights champion whose clarity of mind and sense of justice and ethics make him a statesman of the world. The breadth and depth of his knowledge in geopolitics, sociology, philosophy, history and science is incredible.

France turned off some lights, lowered the temperature, and other efforts to conserve energy because of the war-induced shortages. When will anyone advocate conservation as one part of reducing carbon emissions?

China’s one child policy was an enormous contribution for reducing China’s carbon footprint. Has China’s one child policy ever been acknowledged or promoted as a significant climate solution strategy if implemented on a massive global scale?

31:41 - Bless you, Mr. Sachs. You are being far too lenient and diplomatic. I appreciated your previous comment about Marco Rubio, as it was far more descriptive and on-point. People with your intellect and insight need to be that direct ALL THE TIME. People don't listen to Noam Chomsky (and they should) because he's far too understated and, frankly, boring. I'm not accusing YOU of that, but the politeness won't ever work with the clowns that make up our legislature. They're going to kill off the human race out of hubris and willful ignorance. Keep on keepin' on, Professor!
