Indeed. HE IS THE BEST EVER. There will never be anyone to match him, or even get close. You can tell he cares. I bless the day I discovered his site.

I love how you are weaning everyone off singing along with melodies in their practice. You’ve innovated in the vocal pedagogy world. 🌎I don’t believe anyone else has made this a focus of their teachings and it’s so important to be able to sing melodies independently (without a guide in the accompaniment) - thanks Jeff!

Thank you so much Dylan! I really appreciate it and hope to get the best tools into the hands of those that need them. Thank you for watching and thank you for taking the time to write in! It's always good to see you pop up here! All the best! Jeff

Absolutely agree Dylan. And singing with chords gives a whole new meaning to the warm ups. To me it is like singing, rather than vocalizing.

This is perfect! I'm using your videos to teach my band how to sing harmonies. :) I'd love it if you made a video about vowels and embouchure. Thanks, Jeff! I think of you as the Bob Ross of singing- which is a good thing.

YESSSSSS!!!!!! This is all awesome! I loved watching Bob Ross when I was growing up! Definitely reflected on him when I started the channel! What specifically about vowels are you looking for? Most of the videos on my channel deal with vowels in one way or another. There's some other cool stuff on harmonies fyi: kzbin.info/aero/PL2mQP7sE6PHjjytUwLZy-IV0hGhbD3kg7 There's also a build your own choir video which is all about harmonization too! Best! Jeff

Dear Jeff, many many thanks for another super video. I agree with Dylan Kline Music. Great idea here, but I find it so much easier these days since following your tuition, to keep the tune whilst singing the scales, and not even thinking about the notes, or even lack of them. It all comes as second nature now and things can only improve. I can't imagine what gem you will come up with next! Bless you.

Also, I have a question for you, Jeff. In regard vowels, how should a singer sustain a schwa sound? For example, the "o" in "love." Ought we replace the schwa sound in "love" with a proper vowel, such as "ah"?

Hi Jeff ! Im a baritone singer and im beginning to get a grip on my mixed voice. It's new to me and it feels awsome to be able to extend my range, but i also feel a kind of pressure in my diaphragm when i sing in my mix... so im wondering if im doing this right. Thans again, i made a lot of progress by following your methods !
@JeffRolka4 жыл бұрын
In a word - yes. An increase in subglottic airpressure is required in order to keep the vocal fold released sufficiently to elongate for zona di passaggio phonation. An increase in the firmness in the core body muscles would be part of the process of doing that. Great work! Jeff
