Thank you for the video ! There are bunch of people here that claim to know what are the things that you need to do for surfing big waves but non of them actually doing those things outdoor. You are skin in the game so it’s much more reliable.

An old timer once told me that if i ever get caught in a huge set that i should breath out to get the carbon out that is taking room for good air to be stored before i take a big breath to go under again. Any truth to it or is he blowing smoke up my yeeehhaaa.

A little late to the party, but I’d say he’s right. I remember reading that the CO2 gets to you before lack of oxygen does. You have to build a CO2 tolerance

I’m 34 and started last year. Been about 40 times since last year and am able to ride 4-5 foot waves on the face etc. it’s never too late
