Before buying my 2019 Crf450 I was looking at the Yamaha and I gotta say that you are spot on! @josephlay2885 жыл бұрын
Man I could have stood in for you on this video lol.. I knew exactly what you were gonna say about it before you said it. I own the new Honda an I've rode the yzf an the ktm an the kxf an I was blown away by how easy the clutch is compared to the hondas, the feel on the yzs clutch is litterally just as easy as the hydraulic clutch on the ktm! I absolutly hate the clutch on my crf450 after riding the yz an the ktm which I knew the ktm would be easier due to the hydro clutch.. but never thought the YZ450 wit a reg cabel clutch would be almost identical in pull weight an feel between the ktm an the yz.. But the hondas 10 times harder to pull in. It causes arm pump so much faster. But the Honda is way more powerful the bottom end is unreal on the Honda. But in all honesty I had to re valve my forks to get them feeling better an added a steering stabalizer off my 2014 CRF450R an it made a world of diffrence! Now if I could just figure out what yamaha has figured out on there clutches an get mine to feel as good as the yamahas the Honda would be unbeatable! I dont wanna go to a hydraulic clutch so I've been studying on it alot. An Steve litz at Litz Racing has came up with a diffrent actuator arm that give more leverage and also re routes your clutch cable and it reduces clutch pull weight up to 50%. Ima give that a try b4 I spend a few hundred going to a hydro clutch. Hinson has a similar system that extends your actuator arm an reroutes your cabel but it's as much as a hydraulic. But give Steve litz a call at Litz Racing an he will hook u up with a 50% softer pull than stock an that's a big difference! Youd have to call tho cause he dosent have them on his web page because he stays so busy he dosent have time to mess with the web page so it's best to call. Hes a Honda guy to the core. So he has alot of little things to help make the hondas better, that he makes in house kinda like how JGR (Joe Gibbs racing) is they do it all in house an make all of there own parts.

@imsroll6 жыл бұрын
Hard to compare them stock to stock when you are on a RWE lol.... Hand ported head? DLC coated fork tubes and shock shaft? In all rights that honda should most definitely have been faster motor wise and it is a shame that you found the suspension on the Yz better, as it is a 15 year old fork design vs Hondas flagship (works replica) spring fork... I own a 19 Honda and rode a buddies 18 YZ and had nearly the same outcome, Honda has a pitiful, unreliable and unpredictable clutch, suspension is great but slightly lacking next to the SSS fork, rear shocks are both good however. Sweet video though! Super nice to see someone who can actually ride a dirt scooter talk about them verses the people who can not get around the parking lot with both feet on the pegs talk about "the suspension just didnt work well for me, it's junk"

Legs were kinda cramped and couldnt really grip the bike with my knee bc of that..(im 188cm or 6.2+) Back on my yzf 250 17 it felt like i had double the space compared to the crf. Stock meaning no motor work or suspension work. Aftermarket exhausts do next to nothing for performance which is why they're allowed in the stock class at nationals. Furthermore, the goal of this video wasn't to put two stock bikes head-to-head to see which is better. It's just to compare how I like the Yamaha vs the Honda. It just so happened that they were both stock. But while we're at it, don't forget to point out the aftermarket handlebars and graphics.
