Such 90's (urban) drumkits had such a typcial sound to them. I wonder what made them so distinct? It seems like they often had a lot of compression on them, which made them stand out even within a mix when their volume is not even that high?

Working with 4 or 8 bit digital samplers. Speeding up the sample material to save on memory and slowing it back down in the sequence gave it a gritty feel. My first korg sampler had 30 seconds of sample time....and I had it easy compared to the

Thanks Pat! For the Massive stuff, do you mean patches that come with an expansion? When you install the expansion they'll get installed too... then go to massive via instruments on the browser on Maschine, then you should see banks as an option, and select your expansion from the list. Let me know if you can't find it!
