i remember getting started on mk3 around february 2021,,,totally weird way of working, pals used and loved and i thought i was dragging my feet, or just didn't have the smarts...things i heard about i had no way of doing ....slow evolve, and then settling on using mk3 more as a controller for the daw's i use was good but masking ..this is a real heart pour....masking frustration...over the last week i've deep dived again into 'how to use mk3' ....there's plenty of 'explanations out there', but none as concise and educative as this batch from our host here....dope town

Hi Jeff, thanks for your hard work on these tutorials. I’m an intermediate maschine user and I’d very much appreciate if you could cover these 2 topics: 1. Using maschine as a guitar looper pedal…I originally got the maschine to create other instruments to accompany guitar loops but could never figure out a smooth hands free workflow using a pedal like they advertise on their site. 2. A deeper dive into the effect plugins that come included with the maschine explaining how to use them and the advantages over the internal effects. They’ve always seemed unnecessarily complicated compared to the “internal” maschine effects and even though I’ve had them, I never use any of them besides “Raum”. I’d be extremely grateful if you made videos about these and I still appreciate you even if you didn’t lol

These videos are phenomenal. I can’t express how much value they bring. Please keep doing more of them. If I were to put down a wish list, it would be this: How to combine all of the Fox plugins to come up with interesting fx series. I tend to under utilize them. How to use the machine looper with external synths and external fx. I am not sure how to loop long pads with a microcosm pedal. In particular, how to create different parts or song sections to seamlessly switch. I can see how one could do this with an internal fx plugin; but not external. Those are my big two. I love seeing you create songs out of the expansion packs. It always seems like you tackle it in a different way. I truly appreciate that. Anyways. Thanks for all that you do. I’ve done three albums with Maschine thanks to you. Look up Fornit Low Cosmic Density if you’d like to hear it.

Jef, I would love to see the ability in Maschine to lock a sample in place and the associated midi in a group and then change the kit so all other sounds and midi come into play form another expansion for instance. I find I have to open up other groups to find other sounds then keep copy and pasting into my drum group for instance. Hope you can pass this on and agree would be a cool feature!

This concept of how they set up their sounds/Groups/ master took me a while to figure out and understand. Im still not clear on how these render out as stems. I sort if set up my groups in a similar way. I use a bunch of drum kits using various sounds to make up a kit. I have a group for pads. SFX. Samples. Bass which is usually multiple basses to make the sound. I never go beyond sketching since i export everything out as stems.

What you do in the end for a full song is that you put all the groups in a linear way but you can add and delete things in the group over time? like have a group with drums and mute the sound of the hat later in the song or change the hat to get various within the group over the time of the song?

I can't find this sound in library of sounds from "Solar Breeze" Extention and any instrument with this name.

Do you have a video explaining the basic answer to his question?: what is a plug-in? what is an expansion pack? I cant find this basic answer anywhere. Thanks Zroller! A plug-in refers to ANY virtual instrument or effect created by Native Instruments or anyone else, and an expansion pack is a bunch of samples and loops meant really for Maschine users. Expansion packs also have presets for a few virtual instruments… confusing when you first get into it!

Thx Jeff ! Machines kiné or the Final fut pro X for music softwares. So brillant, New workflow completely in tune with it's Time. Once your brain finally vers it it's so evidentthat it's musically extraordinaire clever, this being allowed by today s technology. We don' needto bé linear anymore. Machine IS made to son quickly sketch ideas, songs structures..... With a lot or fun !!!! The combination with a computer ans third party plugins was the way to go. If it bad advanced audio éditing abilities....would be close to perfection. But let's not forget it fins as a plug in any daw, wich is ridiculous . Machine ans Logic are m'y weapons or choixce. Being a film editor for 25 years now, Logic IS so instinctive to cut with, completing Maschine. @damelos40393 жыл бұрын
@@magnuseriksson8081 Well, I have the MC-101 and MC707 as well. They take some getting used to just like Maschine. Really, I think all the major grooveboxes have something to offer. I believe it's just getting the workflow that works best for the way your mind processes music production. We're lucky to have so many choices, if you think about it. I'm looking at the MV-1 too. When it's all said and done, I'm keeping my Maschine and Komplete Kontrol environment. I have decided the MPC workflow just isn't for me (after working with the MPC Live), but the Akai Force SPEAKS to me. So, I'll spend time deep diving there too.
