Danish use to be closer to English then it is now. I live in rural Denmark, west Jutland. Modern Danish moved "the" to the end of the words. Farmer = Bonde. The Farmer=Bonden. But old people in Jutland will say bonde and Æ bonde. Æ basically used as The. A old Danish tongue twister, or even nonsense to a lot of Danes. (Æ bonde Man vod ud til Æ Ø I Æ Å. The farmer walked out to the island in the river) ÆØÅæøå the 3 Danish bonus letters. Ø is the full Danish word for Island, globally circumference in technical drawings. Å is river or a small stream. And Æ used as the and in a few words like Apple=Æble. Donkey=Æsel.

Ørkenes sønner (The sons of the desert) are known for their Danish dark perverted humor, which is very Danish, exaggerated and flat, but that is also why you lie flat with laughter if you are Danish, because there are many Danish puns that make it impossible to translate it into another language without spoiling the jokes.
@TheGammelfjolsАй бұрын
men de er da ingen ting ved siden af drengen fra angora. deres latente humor er i den pæne ende her,
@bjørnjacobsengamingАй бұрын
@TheGammelfjols Dem så jeg ikke, synes de var platte ikke sjove, men humor er heldigvis en personlig ting
@tobimobiv1Ай бұрын
This is one of their more litteral bits. It is often very very suggestive, pun and wordplay heavy, where they basically just put the thought in you head but never really say it out loud. Which is what makes them hilarious.

And these guys are also some of the best actors in the country. They do mostly drama. I saw three of them on stage in the best “Hamlet” ever. It is like.. 25 years ago, (and Nicolai Coster-Waldau in the same production played a really young Laertes). So, Ørknens Sønner is what they do, when they take a break from their “regular” acting jobs.
@FreakyGremlinDKАй бұрын
And older kids also attend these shows. This is just good ol' Danish humor.

Ørkenes sønner are 99% under the waist, can be hard to translate to english, because its very danish wierd humor :)

You really need to watch a lot more of Ørkenens Sønner ... They are fabulous!
@megamage911Ай бұрын
The funniest part is, all 4 of these guys are all very well regarded actors outside of these Ørkenen's Sønner shows. Hell, most of them have even acted in Children's shows too haha xD Both live-action and as voice actors.

The song was super catchy. I was in stitches 🤣🤣🤣

Ørkenens sønner is prolly the best non pg comedy group... but they are based on a long tradition of non-pg humor..... they just sing better
@plysmeisterАй бұрын
they have just had their 30th anniversary show, was fun as hell, you should watch them, many of the shows are on youtube. i remember my parents seeing them in the 90s when i was a kid
@olehj799Ай бұрын
They are called Ørkenens sønner which translated to: Sons of the desert. Very famous Danish revy comedians.

Yes, "to give yourself a hand" / “give dig selv en hånd” have the same overtones. To give someone a hand means to help them with some task.

it is danish humor, and yes we are very casual in our expression. And it is normal being on the ledge with the content

The Jim Carrey/Andy Kaufmann likening isn't too far off actually. This guy, Niels Olsen, definitely uses some of the same exaggerated facial expressions when he's doing comedy and much like Jim Carrey he's also a very talented serious actor as well. 😊

Ørkenens sønner is a great and fun group. A lot of satire and dirty jokes

There's another song Ørkenens Sønner has made, out of fragments of danish children songs, and it's so much dirtier than this. Highly recommend it,

You should watch their hilarious version of the movie Casablanca ;-)

Utlendings reaksjon? What is the point of translating the title of this English language video into NORWEGIAN?
@Sabi-qe6wpАй бұрын
It’s KZbin that does it automatically. My titles varies. Most of the time they are in the original language. And sometimes they are in half badly translated Danish or Norwegian depending on my location 😅

I´m Danish - I have never liked the material that the group presents - say something sexual, and you can be sure that someone laughs - doesn´t mean that it is great entertainment though.
@Nestir9009Ай бұрын
Selvfølgelig er det da god underholdning fissefjæs
@dharling97Ай бұрын
