If you dont pay, mostly the longterm is that we will get all the things we dont want: More check, gates, prices going even more up to pay for that. Worst case we loose it all, cant get new train/tram sets as often, less cleaning of them and less tram lines overall

Curious. I'm not familiar with that song, and neither is SoundHound. The way it's praising Norwegian public transport and asking the listener not to take it for granted, makes me suspect it's from a commercial.

Most norwegians in Oslo that use public transportation pay via an app. In the app we have choices like paying for one trip, paying for a whole day, whole week, a month and a full year. I had before (some years ago) payed in advance for 6 months. And then it was not an app but a card, like a credit-card. That was the best deal back then. Now I pay per ride using the app, since I don't use public transportation so much any longer. The ticket-controls happens every day of the week, so it's gamble to travel without a ticket. It's estimatet that ca 10 per cent of the passangers travel without a ticket. Our prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre was caught in at ticket control downtown in Oslo, and the story got in the papers pretty quick. :-)

Yes its all built on trust here☺️ but they do inspect sometimes and if you do get caught not paying, well its so big fine you dont want that😅😜🙈 several thousands kroner🙈🙈. Very nice song you have found for this video☺️☺️👍. I was expecting an English song so i was surprised when i heard it was in Norwegian☺️. We probably do take for granted how clean and quiet it is. I dont know if you noticed, on public transportation we like our personal space a lot😂😂 we dont like if anyone sit next to us😂😜. We will avoid that if we can😅.

Proper gourmand :) and no u usually dont find a lot of Norwegian stuff in an american brand store. But it is a decent hot dog and kiosks like 7/11, Narvesen and petroleum stations etc..often have the hot dogs on sale for 29 NOK, thats like 2 pound at the moment. Keep on enjoying your culinary journey of Oslo😉

So.... i live in Denmark, but our public transport is much the same in that there's no gates at the stops. I did notice that it seems to be somewhat cleaner in Norway than here, but that might have something to do with the fact that I live in Midtjylland, which is far away from Copenhagen, and since I've never taken the train or tram there, I couldn't tell you if it's cleaner there than here. I will confess that I have done the whole, going without a ticket before, but let me tell you. After the first time you get a fine of 750 kroner for a 20 kroner ticket, you'll not make that decision again. And it feels horrible to sit there with a lot of people around while the controller writes your fine. As I said, I've only ever done it once, since that's not anything I want to experience again, and you'll never know when the controller is there. I hope you're enjoying your trip to Norway. I have been thinking of doing a trip myself when I'm done with school in 1,5 year.

😮 but don't they give a warning first?
@cecilie1991
@cecilie1991 5 сағат бұрын
@@NordicReactions No. They catch you without a ticket, and you'll have to pay. You have two weeks to pay, and if you don't do it, then you'll get late fees. If you still refuse, to pay, then it's turned over to the state, and they'll take it over your taxes. So the fine will be paid in the end no matter what. But as I said, I only ever did it that once, because that is stupid money to have to pay. The ticket will never be as expensive as the fine. I don't know the exact system of Norway, but I imagine that it's similar to Denmark.
@okklidokkli
@okklidokkli 38 минут бұрын
@@NordicReactions Warning, ha ha! At the moment the fine is 1470 NOK. Saying you're a tourist and don't understand how it works, or you forgot to pay, or didn't have time to pay the ticket before entering the transport is no excuse, you will get a fine. Top of that you have the embarrassment and humiliation when 2-3 controllers encircle you. A good tip, just pay the tickets.

Global warming is not an issue. All these cold places are way north or west of Oslo and the Oslofjord. Also, my summers as a child was beach, swimming, windsurfing and picking up chicks. It’s not getting warmer. It’s the same as when I was a kid.

@@NordicReactions but the other side you are next to some realy special areas. Over the brigde is grunerløkka in my opinion. Also quite close is mathallen where you can get all kinds of food dishes. Moose meat, whale, norwegian fish, more eklusive cheese. You should go. It just a 300meters maby from where you stand and don't cost anything to look around. Also I would recommend Frognerparken its in the western part of town and its a park filled with statues. Typical turist destination
