What i would consider one of the best bojack horseman episodes is when Bojack is underwater, there is no dialogue for pretty much the whole episode, just to set up one joke at the end. the thing is, no dialogue is like any other out of the ordinary style (i cant think of the word im looking for its close enough) like practical effects and using older types of film or poor quality mics etc. anyone can do it but it requires a lot more skill to execute flawlessly like Up and Bojack did.

U nailed it. If only people could realize that mostly (but not always) people in general r on there best behaviour at the kh. It's at home in our 4 walls that our true colours come out. We were the perfect family in the kh with parents sitting front row. Never missed a meeting Our stepmum (biological mum died when I was 10 who got the truth). Dad was remarried within 2yrs to a sis with no children who was clueless about kids. She got the truth as an adult from her dysfunctional mother. Sadly a very cruel lady that bragged about placing 100mags a mth on a street cnr. Sadly the stepmum was so like her mum. We were the jw very dysfunctional family at home with family fights every night. Many at the dinner table bc she was raised in a boarding school. Us 3 kids in a normal public school. So one of us including dad were interested in eg tipping our soup plate away from us. I had to stand up for myself at 12 but also my sis n bro. That's a very believe it or not short version of our jw dysfunctional family. But now as a adult I realize u can come from a dysfunctional family with biological parents whether a jw or not. Anyone can walk into a church blding or kh dressed in nice clothes n give the best answers but still be anything at home from a pedaphile to an alcoholic or a physical abuser or mental abuser to their partners. I learnt that word dysfunctional family at about 40 from a family therapist. I hadn't sort help. We met at a swimming pool n became friends. Crazy thing was she was also from a dysfunctional family n needed my help to listen to her as much as I needed her help.

I am a female in the 80s helping to work to build a 2 day kingdom Hall. My husband and I did the electrical. I wore a hardhat and tool belt and every time I left the building to go to the bathroom outside portable John, they tried to stop me from going into the hall we were building because I was a female and the females were only allowed outside to pass around cupcakes and water. That's what my sister did. Anyway, I said listen I have a hard hat right? And always carried in more electric equipment. I said do you want electric or not? Finally they let me pass. Women weren't allowed to work except for woman duites according to their thinking. So they've changed that sounds like.. so woman can do heavy construction now but not give a talk? Hmmm. Interesting 😂

One more thing, Elders tried to get me to work for them, no real benefits always saying you will ever need retirement, the new world will be here. I'm 70 now, and I have my SS, if I would have listened to them, I would be homeless because I cannot work a gard job anymore. So is it really a blessing to work basically for free, what happens if your hurt, or this system does not end? What are your options then? They call that a blessing?

@@EL-IZ-At-BETH-sarim I just find it really interesting that they expect people to build these real estate projects such as kingdom halls and whatnot. But they expect them to not get any form of any higher education. So there is no guarantee that when they build these places that they know exactly what they're doing properly and know how to make sure that things are up to code if they even care about making sure that the buildings are up to code. And think about it there's a lot of math and geometry that goes into building structures to make sure that they are not only structurally sound but that they can withstand a lot of abuse from the elements outside. Not to mention the fact that you know a lot of Dimensions go into making something as simple as a staircase so that way the actual pitch of the staircase isn't too high that you are tripping up the stairs because the steps are too tall and they're not too low that you feel like you're having to drag yourself along the staircase just to get up a flight of steps. So it's just really interesting how they expect these people to build buildings without some semblance of Education unless it's their indoctrination videos

13:30 I went and visit the Bethel site in Italy out of sheer curiosity and they actually showed some women in the video too!! If I remember correctly 2 of them were with their husbands, but 1 was completely on her own doing the interview! I don’t remember if the married couples had their names on, but I’m 100% certain that the single girl did!!

I hadn't thought about them always talking about women running heavy equipment before but you're right about that. I've been to a number of quick builds and remodels and I don't remember women running any heavy equipment. I've seen them hanging wall paper and maybe doing electrical work but never running any of the tractors. In fact I used to go with our crew to help maintain the assembly hall in San Antonio and sisters were told to wear dresses because they were assigned to housekeeping automatically. I remember one friend of mine got kinda pissed because she showed up ready to run lawnmowers and trimmers since she had a lot of experience with that and she was told to stop and go mop floors and clean toilets because that's all sisters were allowed to do.
