In the community I used to go to we had a family that has 2 daughters and one is an outcast and one is a pioneer. And mother got cancer and died. During the funeral, the family refused to allow the outcast to reach the mother's grave just because she is an outcast and they literally blocked her.

Two things: they always assume someone that’s disfellowshipped committed a sin. You have to focus on the ones that have left due to not believing. Their mind crashes at that point. They cannot conceive someone leaving for conscientious reasons. Second, if you say the Bible is wrong, you’ve shut the door. It’s the GB interpretation that could be wrong. This is shown by the constant “new light”. For decades they taught not to even say hello to a disfellowshipped person. It was biblical. One day, with the snap of a finger, it changed. Was the Bible wrong? No. The GB interpretation was wrong. It still is.

When I was a Jehovah’s Witness which I was for forty years, I never shunned no one. I had a mind of my own, no Governing body was going to tell me who I can and cannot talk to. Same with blood if my children needed it they would have blood . Read the Bible yourself and not how the idiots at the top tell you. I’m glad I got out, but sad that I wasted much of my youth in this cult. How I must have caused my parents much pain when I did not celebrate Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, birthdays. My parents are dead now, I cannot put right what I did wrong to them. I truly regret it now.

The Watchtower was against organ transplants in the 1960's. In the March 1980 Watchtower, it declared that it was ok to have organ transplants. They claimed to have received "new Light" from Jehovah. Problem with that is that Charles Taze Russell said in a 1881 Watchtower publication that "New Light never contradicts Old Light, but adds to it." If I cannot trust the Watchtower with my physical life, how can I trust the Watchtower with my spiritual life?

In John 15:6, it does say, as you have written, that individuals who fail to stay connected to the true source of spiritual life and nourishment-symbolized by the vine-will face spiritual withering ....but NOT eventual final judgment. In John 15:5, Jesus Christ said that He is the vine. He did not say that the Watchtower was the vine. A branch that is not abiding in Christ is "cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire and they are burned. This is amplified in: 1 Cor. 3:15>If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. He gets to heaven by faith in Jesus Christ, smelling as if he had been bought at a fire sale, but he will not lose his salvation.
