Thanks Jenn! I do love to do that technique I have used it a few time in that past with great success. I have also used lace fabric that also gives a great effect. Love your video keep them coming please. enjoy your family time on the east coast.

Hey Jen you have a wonderful time out east and be safe. I was just using the darcien last nite I love using it. I see I want to use a lot more colors when I use it.. Nice work as always. Happy Trails girl and have a blast at it.

Hey jen , was jsut watching ur whopper plopper video, for like the 3rd time, and anyways u mentioned changing ur exacto blade once every week or so.. got me thinking cause i go thru alot more with my wood carvings, i just grabbed my broad head arrow sharpener and ran it across my blade, it cuts good as new again, geez wish i would of thought of it sooner, all those dull blades ive thrown away...

Great idea!! For those that bow hunt that’s an awesome option 😎
@MrHerbalincense6 жыл бұрын
u dont have to bow hunt, just buy the sharpener :) i paid less than 10 for mine 5 years ago (walmart) , ive spent that much on blades in the last 2 months,

where do you get the .25 needle and do you have to change any thing else can't find it , for it . thank you
is the fact the white was showing through on the spine a flub up or was that intentional? the only reason i ask is because you didnt have any white really showing through anywhere else on the bait. very nice work as usual Jen. you gave one of my pictures on the brotherhood of custom lure painting group a love, made my day.

Intentionally done, with any mesh work, there will always be a unique aspect to it once the mesh is off. 🙂

Hey Dr. Jekyll, some great technique!!! Inspired to try the method from your video, but I could not locate the exact darcine? metal mesh fabric from your links? I know this is from 2018 and old hat for most, but I am new to airbrushing. Any help to locate would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Just the one I painted with only primary colors in the challenge I think.

Dr. Jekyll, Keep up your zero fear approach and promoting “finding your own style”. If you find you’re feeling a loss for a fish to model, love to see you’re interpretation of a pike, perch, or sucker. Stay healthy!

that's crazy cool so when you dip for epoxy do you hang it and leave it alone completely or do you make sure to eliminate the access?
@Jekyll4246 жыл бұрын
The drip wire on the tail eyelet eliminates the excess. I leave it alone for about 18 hours

I’ve been watching your videos for a while. I’m thinking about getting into airbrushing baits. I already make soft plastics. What would you recommend for a starter package that would get me well on my way to airbrushing baits? Or would I be better off buying things separate?
@CaptainBax6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jenn, New to your channel, love the vids. May I ask what clear coat you are using, looks like a satin coat ?. Now this is just my opinion but wouldn't the colours pop more with a couple of coats of two pack clear.
@Jekyll4246 жыл бұрын
CaptainBax there’s lots of choices out there. I’m a KBS user at present time, mostly for ease and convenience due to the volume of Baits I’m doing. But I do like it. Considering making the jump to Alumilite 😉

@@Jekyll424 Thanks Jenn for the quick reply, I did hear you mention KBS after I asked the question on another vid and looked it up. I see it's an Australia company, do you have an Australian connection as I see you use a few products from Down-Under which is where I'm based. Anyway is that the Diamond Finish from KBS that you're using, I see it's a gloss... my apologies if it is, just looks satin on screen. Jenn as I haven't seen all your vids as yet and you might have already made a few but I would love to see your handy work on a big popper and just one last thing. What's your thoughts on the theory that the top of the lure should have a definite contrast to the bottom and should always be dark over light ?.
