we have three dogs and they are all crate trained. They love their crates they know it is a safe space they can go if they don't want to be bothered and will even ask to go in them when they are sleepy or not wanting to be bothered by people or the other dogs. Jelian you are so right! They are not being harmed and it gives them their own space, just like humans have rooms to go to they have their crates. The trick is to not use it as punishment but as a place to rest and feel safe.

Mateo is the absolute cutest. You guys always cheer me up. For stain removal: Wet the stain with some white vinegar and then put some baking soda on top andthen wet it with a spray bottle. It will start fizzing and then let it dry up. when its dry vacuum the rug and tadaa. I use it for everything. Pee stained matresses, white shoes that got dirty, stains the washer cant get out of clothes. a lifesafer!

People saying crate training is abuse, have defiantly never owned a dog. My new puppy is 5 months old and when she was younger she would sleep in there, now that she is potty trained she sleeps with me but still stays in her crate whenever I am gone and she does just fine. Even when I am in my room with her and she's tired she goes straight to her crate instead of her own bed, or my bed, becasue it's her space and she loves it.

Ok crate training is definitely not abuse. My little dog still goes in his crate when someone is mowing their lawn or the neighbors are being loud because it calms him down. He doesn’t even sleep in there at night, we keep it because he likes it. My big dog even tries to go in there sometimes because she misses when she had a crate.
