Russ Ballard is one of my favorite rock artists and one that's truly underrated to say the least! He should've been up there with the likes of Van Halen, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi and the like. This one has always been one of my favorites of Ballard's along with In the Night and Voices. In my opinion, his music really helped to put Miami Vice on the map with his bad ass tunes to back it up. Thanks for sharing this gem Jelle Jansen! Rock on! 🙌✌😎

I don't understand why Ballard wasn't huge as a solo artist. His writing is gold, the production is extraordinary, and his voice is incredibly smooth. 🤷 I actually think this song is better than "Voices."

Actually the song used in Vice was Roger Daltrey's "After the Fire" which contains the line "After the fire, the fire still burns." Russ Ballard was used extensively on Vice, but I don't think they used this particular track.
