Lint roller is a great tool for getting out all the loose threads after you have ripped seams.

Good tips. I am big strip sewer! Quilts, purses, rugs, and makeup bags. Lint is a pain though. Always have to clean machine and work area after using. Little known fact-term jelly roll was invented and trademarked by Moda Fabrics.

does anyone starch jelly roll strips - and if so which direction does the fabric shrink? Does it shrink in the 2.5 width or the length? Just wouldn't want to starch the jellyroll and have the width be less than 2.5 when I'd go to work on cutting blocks. I'm not 100% a starch girl but do like it for certain projects. Never done it with jellyrolls.

I'm a new quilter. I use "Best Press" on my sewn jellyroll strips. It works and doesn't shrink it.

One thing I discovered about the Moda jelly rolls is they are often not cut on the straight. Too often they have the v shaped wonky problem. It's so frustrating.

What do you mean when you say the jelly roll measures 21/2 inches from edge to edge? Does that mean to the outer tips on the pinked? No matter how many times I watched UTUBES on the subject I still don’t know where to sew when am sewing a pinked strip to a straight edge of a hand cut fabric together. I’m ready to cut off of the pinked edges making more work for myself..

I think it means you measure from the outer edge of the pinked edge, the peak, to the other peak, ignore the inner bits, and when you sew you line it to the outer tip to measure your quarter of an inch seam, I was nervous when I first started using precuts and thought I'd never get used to them, but now I love them, I hope you enjoy sewing with your precuts
