Thank you for this tutorial! I saw this giant triangle zipper bag at your booth at the Houston International Quilt Festival and knew I needed to make it. I picked up the clear vinyl with bananas from your booth, and sewed it up with the help of this tutorial. I do have one question/suggestion/idea... I'm planning to make another one, of course, and am curious about using one piece of 10" x 20" (or maybe 10" x 19-1/4" because of the missing 3/8" seams). I want to try it, but also know it might be hard to get the zipper on... but I can always sew half and then flip it, or unzip it. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to many more!

Very fun and easy project. Unfortunately on my first one I put the seams so the zipper was at the bottom of the triangle - lesson learned - doesn't seem as convenient. But second one (and more!!) will be better. Thanks Natalie!

I love all of your videos and patterns! I have a question - at 1:40 into video, you say "if you can sew this zipper on with a 3/8" seam, the zipper will not wave on you." Can you help me understand what that means? 3/8" from the teeth of the zipper, or the edge of the zipper tape? And what does wave mean? Thank you (newbie sewer).

Welcome to the wonderful world of sewing!! So a lot of times with these #5 zippers (size of my zippers in my shop and many by-the-yard zips)--- if you can sew 3/8" from the teeth of the zipper it lessens the wavy nature of the zipper. Honestly I don't pay too close attention, the length of the zipper is the MOST important aspect to prevent wave. So in my Easy ZIpper Cases pattern I call for exact measureements of the zippers, because if you cut it too long -- the zipper will be wavy. Join my Makers Group on facebook and ask some folks to post photos of wavy zippers-- they will! They will also share more tips, like pressing the zipper - it helps too.
