"Jellybean" Joe Bryant, the father of Kobe Bryant and a Philadelphia hoops legend himself, died at 69. One of his John Bartram High School teammates says "Jellybean" was "in the top five to 10 of the greatest athletes that came out of Philadelphia."

G-d Bless Mrs. Bryant and family, my husband is from North Philadelphia He's a Educator, he played basketball in Philadelphia Strawberry Mansion, during the 70s in high school then attended Cheney University, as A Black Man he was so inspired by Mr. Joe Bryant. He was my husband's hero along with Dr. J and, the rest of the Legends, from 76ers my husband talked about this Guy Mr. Joe Bryant in such a respectful and professional way, once I saw this beautiful lady his wife on TV with him. It just made me feel more proud about myself 8/24 is my born day, sometimes G-d gives us examples and signs through others successfulness. I just want to send prayers and condolences to Mrs. Bryant and her beautiful family. May they receive the best love and support from folks during this time, May they know the believers of the Lord respectfully know their Amazing and admired, yes for Kobe Bryant and for, proof that Black marriage lasts forever 💗.
