Wow, so many I would have included: 1. “Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?” 2. “Terminate. With extreme prejudice.” 3. The Eziekel 25:17 speech 4. “No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!” 5. “How am I so funny?” 6. “Never rat on your friends, and keep your mouth shut.” Not one quote from Goodfellas! 7. “Vodka martini. Shaken not stirred.” (Bond, James Bond has to be top 10.) My fave is probably Robert Duvall’s “I love the smell of Napalm” because at that moment, despite the backdrop of death and carnage, he makes me want to experience the “smell of Napalm in the morning.” The best poetry is visceral and that line in that context is brilliant.

These are all iconic, hall-of-fame movie quotes from the history of cinema that anybody who lives anywhere but under a rock or who happens to be older than 15 should have at least heard of at some point in their life. What makes them great quotes is that they're so famous, so ingrained in common culture, people actually use them as expressions now. Hate to break it to you, but just because you haven't heard of them doesn't mean they're not famous. It means you haven't been paying attention.

funny thing is when i saw taxi driver for the frist time, I thought the "you talking to me" scence was him doing an impression of whatever movie it was from...then i relized after watching the movie that the "you talking to me" scence WAS from taxi driver and he wasnt doig an impression because that was the oringanal.
