I find it dumb squidward always gets so much "karma" while idiotbob moronpants and patrick never get any repercussions. They literally kept putting him in more casts and he lets loose a jellyfish on them for it, which they completely deserve. Yet squidward gets punished much worse for giving them consequences.

It's surprising actually that this was the very first Squidward Torture episode everyone glossed over because "it's classic". Sure, he was a bit rude towards SpongeBob and Patrick, but he didn't really do anything to them yet he ended up in a wheelchair for a gag. At least it's nice SpongeBob and Patrick actually felt guilt and tried to make up for it, they still forced Squidward to be with them when he just wanted to stay alone and Patrick put a net through his hand without a thought. It's certainly not as bad as Good Neighbors, Cephallapod Lodge or Ink Lemonade, but still there's nothing really funny about the whole thing

@@ashesGeekIt’s less that he deserved it and more that he brought it on himself. He could have honestly told SpongeBob and Patrick that he doesn’t like them and that he isn’t interested in Jellyfishing but instead he chose to lead them on to screw with them for his amusement. And they *did* get punished for their idiocy. Plus Squidward didn’t look all that scathed under his cast once it was burned off and his reaction was a simple “ow…” so that lessened it a good deal for me. That keeps this from being a true torture porn imo. A Squidward torture porn is an episode where he doesn’t deserve punishment or bring it down on himself in any way.

Jellyfishing is one of the most overrated episodes of the show, it's my least favorite episode of the season honestly. Squidward is very dumb at the start in unfunny ways, telling them that he would absolutely love to play with them but he's too busy which then leads to the first of 2 sandbagging scenes, Squidward laughing with his eyes closed for a really long time and then the episode gets very uncomfortable to watch and the second one is SpongeBob moistening the fuck out of his lips. I like the cool intro and the Blue Danube part but that's literally it, it's miserable to sit through, I hate the meme as well. Thankfully Plankton! is an awesome debut for him.
