This episode made me respect Squidward, see its one thing to admit that you genuinely like SpongeBob even though you're very grumpy to him most of the time, but Squidward made sure to spend his whole day doing whatever Spongebob wanted to do because he thought he wouldn't see him again the next day, it's kind of heartwarming actually

Bro my favorite moment is after the little piece of the pie blows up in Krabs' office and he says "Sooooooo...ya tried to kill me over some new age management eh?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 the way he squints at Squidward before he gets up and brushes himself off. So much detail in this show that's easy to miss. I guess you could say this whole thing blew up in Squidward's face.....

God, the early seasons really were the best. Widescreen and HD be damned. There's the occasional mid episode, but most are timeless classics from the writing and delivery alone.

9/10 A great double pairing 'Dying for Pie' is terrific. It's one of my favourites. The plot is really interesting and very profound at times. SpongeBob and Squidward are a classic comedy double act and Squidward's characterisation is very strong. The animation is not as on-model in 'Imitation Krabs' and some of the backgrounds look amateurish in comparison but there are still a lot of fun character expressions and the animation in the final scenes is the episode's best. 'Imitation Krabs' has a plot just as fun as 'Dying for Pie', but better art and animation. I love how Squidward sees through Plankton's disguise but takes the day off anyway. I don't know why a "hick town like Bikini Bottom" has a national anthem, but it's a good idea anyway. I also find it hilarious that Mr. Krabs can chase a penny for six and a half hours. In conclusion, a great pairing of episodes that I never get tired of watching.

@@trizard3940 Maybe it's because The Walking Dead gets bad after a while I've heard which doesn't surprise me with a show that went on for 12 years. Similar to how people feel about later SpongeBob seasons, especially 6 and 7. Although I've seen them reacting to the first season episodes of The Walking Dead in order. They should at least finish reacting to the first season of that show.
