I've been fighting to be in my daughters life after losing her to being a bum. Moved to a new state and city got here job fell through drove town to town finally got one through the staffing agency. Well spent the last 8 months in the back of my car saving up to find a place closer to her and paying off debt to make it easier. I'm working 2 jobs 12 hour shifts 84 hours with over time 90 hours a week Monday through Sunday driving an hour each way 100 miles a day 7 days a week unless I get her on a Friday and sometimes I still go in after her mom pick her up. This song and there ain't no sunshine really set the tone on how I feel some days.

We get weaker in our emotions and let it control our thought process. But we gotta remember who WE ARE when we lose ourselves and take our control back even if it takes some time to heal our inner self to find peace. We have that obligation to ourselves and within to never give up fighting for who we are / or once were (we all deserve it). Keep strong, take your courage back and find your peace and path to take care of yourself first no matter the circumstances. Life wasn’t meant to be easy, and we ALL have our struggles! I'm suffering from bipolar, manic/major depressive disorder, and was just recently also diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. I would have never had the strength to walk in to therapy or any of my mental health groups I started attending if I had never heard your music. I will admit I first heard your music when I was with someone who wasn't good for me, but that is no longer and the only good that came of it was I heard these songs and I finally decided to go talk out my issues and figure out all of who I am. I'm 62 years old and i think this young man's music is awesome. It tells a story of sadness, tragedy, mistakes, love and redemption and finding your way back to try and do it right this time. I was proud to see him inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. It made me smile !
