I grew a 90s kid watching reruns, they basically described mynchildhood experience watching phooey and dark wing duck. Phooey and Black were pre DCAU idols as there werent that many black heroes.

I think was jumps out to me most is the card game/yu-gi-oh reference and concept here, particularly how in the US version of the show, none of the cards have any effect text on them so you only get to know what they do when the characters tell you, making it seem like every one just makes up the rules as they go along. Like, of course a hamburger with 50 hp can transform your car into a hammer, that makes total sense!

gotta be honest, i'm a little disappointed that Jellystone opted for the lazy side of anime parody where the joke is just "ha ha!! look how stilted and random all of this is, Because Japan!!!!" I expect better from this show that's already done better and more varied parody of anime that gets what makes it funny for both itself and those who put way to much of their life into it.
