The Jem Hadar fighters are the equivalent Toyota Hilux trucks , reasonably tough for their size, small ,fast , manueverable,hard to track and target and able to pack serious firepower .

This is true to an extent. Yes their polar and beans no longer pass through their Shields. But for a ship of its size its fire power is double that of a bird of prey. It's basically a bird of prey on steroids.

We actually never see the Attack ship fire projectile weapons except in one episode : "The Jem Hadar" Afterward we see only beam weapons. There is a cavet to that though. In Starship Down while we never see an attack ship fire a torpedo, torpedo Defiant is hit by a torpedo that lodges it'self in the hull of Defiant.

Which is probably the ideal warfighting vehicle. Because it allows to wear down any adversary without similar capabilities via attrition and gives enormous surge capabilities. Only a technologically vastly superior adversary can really stand against such a doctrine.

You would think with the unconditional surrender of the dominion that all that lovely technology was taken by all races of the alpha/beta quadrant like German tech post WW2

@@kennethgibson456 Probably, but the Romulans are no longer a threat (as far as we know) and the Klingons have never struck me as technologically curious as Starfleet, whose home planet was attacked. Even so, I would have loved to have seen a refit-Defiant class with a polaron beam bolted to its nose.

Yeah after they got ahold of one of the ships they were able to adapt to almost all of its advantages. But even that the ship was still really dangerous.

Good video, but the scenes from the show just don’t reflect the information you’re bringing here. There’s just no way they’re as powerful as you say. I think the figures are wrong so why not just average them like you did with the incorrect weight.

I don't know what you mean about them not being they're literally taking directly from the scenes themselves. For an example when the Romulan attack. If you slow down the scene and watch it, Dominion ship fires 15 times at Warbirds engines. So therefore the ship has a volley of 15 shots. Maybe I'm misunderstanding thank you for The comment very much appreciated. But you can share your idea with me and then I can't review it. Appreciate the comments.

@@trekwars5400 I understand how you got the data, but as you said in your video the studio can get things wrong. My opinion is that they initially wanted the Jem Hadar fighter to be a scary and almost unbeatable ship. But as the fighting went on and the war started full time, they realised that it needed to be a weaker ship. However, destroying one sometimes seemed easy and sometimes took a lot more firepower, depending on what they wanted it to be in that scene. I think it just needs to be less powerful than you’ve shown it to be, to better fit in with the rest of the fleet and the ships it encountered. It’s still kick ass, but for this to be how you’ve shown it just makes it seem OP af Thanks for hearing me out, your videos and channel are great.

Watching them in DS9 they didn't look that powerful. I believe you overrated the bug ships after watching the Feds, Klingons and Rom ships taking hit after hit and keep fighting them. The Galaxy classes was shrugging them off like they was nothing and that little tug boat the Defiant took hit after hit to and returned fire and destroyed them.
