This was one of those better battles I have seen at high tier. Both sides played extremely well. The Z-52 player definitely has got very great DD experience. Congratulations on a very well-played game, Jim Kirk.

Well played by the Z 52. also the bungo and libertad played really good. I liked how jim used the 'lock on bearing' option of the guns between aiming his torps to prevent the enemy seeing the 'being targeted' indicator. That's smart playing to keep them guessing if there are torps on the way.

@DashwarGaming how nonsensical. Especially at a retreat, those torps are absolutely needed. I've had quite a few games that weren't lost, just because I was the last remaining ship (DD or sub) on a flank, who constantly forced them to maneuver. If staying alive and protecting caps long enough is what's needed, random spreads in the general direction are great. At the start of the game, it's also quite good to stop a push in its tracks.

Great game by Jim! 4:35 2 remaining DDs flood into the C cap after it already been taken by Jim instead of providing help to the 2 unprotected flanks for .....reasons ....... Only 3 DDs on the team occupying the same grid square is not usually a great tactic. One could argue that Hindenburg didn't have so much else he could do but his somewhat overconfident push. What was he supposed to do? Sit back at spawn and hope for something to get spotted even the there is no friendly DD spotting on that flank?! Bungo player was actually even smarter than that. He realized he got unspotted by Jim, he knew from which side Jims torps came from earlier and then he suddenly got spotted again so he shot an estimated place on the other side of the island (which makes perfect sense IF a DD sails in straight line with and islands coming between them) but Jim of course has popped out on the same side again from where he was before. So that Bungo guy was skilled.

I will never stop being amazed by how much more fun this game is, when there are no carriers involved (among other things, plane spotting makes this game boring and un-suspensefull. The advantage of having a good anticipation for the game falls away and everybody knows more or less all the time where everybody else is-just bad design) And kudos to Cpt Kirk: First JIngles Vid in quite a long time, where i feel like this is somebody i can relate to. No division in op ships in general, not in an op ship in particular, not a dude who earns his living with playing video games (I assume) and on top of that a very similar approach on how he plays his dd. Sadly this is exactly the type of player the game lost so many of due to 1. cv-rework 2. subs and 3. overly competetive "top clan" players, who ONLY play in broken divs aka for the winrate not the actual fun/challenge. And as it turns out, this is also the type of player, that did provide balance for the matchmaking-who would have guessed that, eh? Certainly not WG.

Hey Jingles... 2 things. Glad your health is doing better. Scary stuff. And have you ever tried a game called "Ultimate Admirals Dreadnoughts"? It is like this game, but not as refined. You choose a country and either try to take over the world, or try to not get taken out. The fun part is.... you get to build your own ships. Yep, you design your ships based on the tech of the years your in. The game starts as early as 1890 and ends in 1965. When your ship finally do get in combat from a war or conquests, you control where they go, and how they go about it, but they shoot on their own. you can control when they shoot and what kind of ammo they use, but over all they do the work. They use salvos to aim, so you will rarely get a hit on the first few shots. I have a few battle on my YT channel. Though the channel is not as high quality as your site, but it has a few good examples of what the battles are like. I think i have one where it was 3 vs 25 enemies. Yah, even in this game there is MM issues... lol But I feel you would find yourself very interested in playing this one. I have over 2k hours on the game, and it was a rough ride, but atm, I think the game plays well enough for someone like you to feature it.
