The simple fact is that there would not be a refugee problem if Obama was not the president and listened to the Pentagon. When they told him to leave troops in Iraq he ignored them - not smart. But no, narcissist Obama and this community organizer thought he knew more than the generals and pulled out. What happened? Evil filled the void. ISIS moved in. Chaos erupted. This is why two years later Obama listened to the Pentagon when he really wanted to pull out of Afghanistan. Why we have troops in Europe and not Iraq does not make any sense but that is another story. If we created safe zones for Muslims there would not be a refugee problem but Obama chose to watch college hoops and play golf instead. The Middle East fell apart in 2011 and the years after because of America’s weak leadership. Now Syria is punished for using WMD when Obama just allowed people to be slaughtered.

Obama told everyone that Trump could not keep the Carrier jobs in America, Trump took care of that in about 15 minutes. Trump is real deal, Obama is a pathetic, anti American, and an ignoramus. And, there was not a damn thing wrong with him kneeling---in fact, it was a veteran he met once who suggested that he do it. The only reason it became a big damn deal was because trump's ignorant ass made a big deal about it to distract from the fact that he was being investigated over the russian ties to his campaign. trump still spends way too much time making a big deal about matters that don't even concern him---he's still an idiot to this damn day.

I also understand why a business person would want to keep politics away from their business. The nfl is first and foremost a business. Kaepernick forced the nfl to choose between white fans and black fans. The sad reality is the nfl is only reacting to racism in America. Kaepernick is the most controversial athlete. Kaepernick forced the nfl into a fight it was whole unprepared for. From the owners perspective: why is kaepernick protesting racism during our games? How is racism our fault? We don't make laws. We don't appoint judges or police. We don't have the power to create laws that can fix these issues or fire the police that kill unarmed black men. Why isn't kaepernick protesting the White House, congress, state legislatures, etc? Why is kaepernick politicizing my company? Why can't he protest on his off time?

All those people who made a stink about not watching the NFL probably did not watch the NFL anyway or were at best casual observers. They were not the people buying the Game Day packages to watch their favorite teams or the top match-ups. I know that for a fact because I know many real football fans who supported and did not support Kaepernick. None of them missed a football game if they were truly invested in their games. Most of the people complaining probably did not even have two nickels to rub together to buy a Game Day package or cable package for NFL games. The crowd that stopped watching the NFL because of the protests probably just went in the backyard and tore down the gerry-rigged antenna they were using to steal from their neighbor.

How many people can get away with doing some type of protest ON THE JOB? i don't know anyone. If Colin kept his protesting to his private life off the field, he'd probably still be playing. He could've used his IG account, or KZbin channel, or a blog, even TV talk show appearances. There were MANY avenues for him. He chose to protest AT WORK. That's what cost him his NFL career, not Trump, not racism of NFL owners. Also, a lot of NFL fans don't want to see political statements during the game. Protest in your private life, on your own time, not at your job. That's just common sense.

Kaepernick was a good player, but players and coaches figured him out and he couldn’t change. The best thing he did was bring awareness to a situation that needed attention. He opted out of his contract and now he’s bitching and complaining.

By kneeling, he disrespected thousands of families who have lost people serving it. A lot of blacks died in Vietnam, I don't see how this does anything in their honor. I do see shame though. Happy New Year to all men who are doing it right. Need more.

Kapernick was good enough to be on one of the many teams by far. Some of the QBs bad teams had was laughable. However at the time this happened kapernick was not a starter with the niners he had a really great Super Bowl run but that wasn’t the reason he wasn’t playing with the niners. The niners and kapernick had agreed they’d buy him out and he’d move on. What I fault the niners for is not standing up for kap when the rest of the nfl was ignoring him. He didn’t have a bad attitude and was a good teammate. They could have done more. He had a lot to offer other teams at the time.

Like Kap, Sanchez contended in years 1 and 2, then the core got taken apart, replaced with scrubs and in Sanchez defense- Tebow.

To be fair to the NFL though there ratings were on a 3 year slide and they wanted no part any controversy. Not saying that ratings slide had anything to do with Kaep (probably just crappy games) but the NFL was in panic mode
