Jemez Mountains Scenic Drive, Part 1: Cuba to Teakettle Rock

In June 1986 I drove this road from Cuba to Los Alamos and it was dirt all the way. It was twisty and somewhat muddy, and was a very fun drive through these low mountains and forests. I think now they've paved a good portion of it, but it might still be a fun drive.

I know the area well. I worked 26 years felling logs for lumber companies around this area and just about every forest in New Mexico and parts of Colorado. A lot of this area burned this year 2014 during the Diego Spring fire.
