Your new job will be pretty exciting. The different drop-off locations are already interesting. I'm sure we will see a lot of new towns and villages during your journeys. The Volvo looks nice, especially with the black curtainsider. It's great we can enjoy your awesome trucking vlogs again. Good luck to your new career Jemma. I can't wait to follow your adventures again on Saturdays.

Never feel you have to explain yourself for checking your pin height/alignment Jemma. I missed the pin first day on a new job in a warehouse full of onlookers 😅but thankfully being in the warehouse 2 forklift drivers came to my rescue, lifted the trailer back over the 5th wheel and I was sorted. I'm retired now and the biggest thing I drive now is our 8m Motorhome, yet I still send my wife out to "watch my back" when reversing onto pitches etc. I have seen so many 'expert' drivers damage their pride and joy because they didn't notice over hanging trees or rocks in the grass etc.

I'm always amazed how painstakingly Jemma does her daily truck safety inspection. It's been over 40 years that I drove a concrete mixer truck during my college breaks, but none of the drivers in our yard ever cared about ANY safety inspection. The only things we had to check was fuel, maybe engine oil, and that the water tank was full so we could add water to the concrete at the construction site and clean the drum once empty.

First time I’ve seen a video of yours. Interesting differences in truck driving between the US and Britain, yet very similar as well. I like the safety pin for the fifth wheel, we don’t have that here in the US, different theory about their use by the industry. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos and learning more about trucking in Britain. Thanks and stay safe.👍

I had a look at this mainly because you are pleasing to the eye. However, after watching the video from start to finish I found it really interesting. The editing, not dragging stuff out, knowing when to change the video speed, it was a compelling watch. I have never seen inside a lorry cab before, even though my best friend from School does what you do. I got so much into your job and what you do you could have had green ears and a cyclops eye and I would not have noticed. This is not normally something I look at, I am guessing it was suggested because I posted some speeding trucks in America passing me. American trucks do insane speeds compared to the UK. Keeps safe and thanks for posting, Cheers.

Whoop!! 🎉🎈🍾 +10:08 😮Jemma!! 😂- "moving the goods for anyone ...taking shit from no one!" Wondering how the rig compares down the twisties ? I believe that the 13m length restriction at Lechlade is for the humped Ha'penny Bridge over the Thames to the south of the town. It's well policed. But no doubt you've got truck maps that show it. (exactly what I needed on a stressful morning, thank you 🙏)

12:50 I can’t agree more…. I also find many times that the tachograph is not in tune with my ‘biological clock’! Sometimes I can’t keep my eyes open when I am expected to drive, and in the afternoon when I’m fine the Tacho forces me to take a break when I like to drive home…. Fortunately I am blessed with the talent to ‘instantly’ sleep when needed and/or possible; within mere minutes!! So good to hear from you again Jemma!! All the best for 2025!! Greetings, Henk, the Netherlands.

Thank you for your video and I’m going to watch many more. I’ve been teaching people to drive for over a third of a century and a couple of my customers have now got HGV one and I’ve often wondered what that life entails. Your video was very informative and you are very versed in editing and film skills. Thanks ever so much and I wish you every success in the future and-very impressed with your reversing skills 😁 This was the exact insight I needed into HGV one (I’m 60 now so I’m probably a bit too old) and before I went on my own I had an ex employer who still do CPD courses (money for old rope-bums on seats). Again thanks ever so much it was a very very informative video.
