Had the same problem for about a year , don't know if i changed something on my throw but luckely it gone away. Think i had the problem because for me it was never good enough in my head. Now i just enjoy playing and happy to be able to play

Nice darts, Jen. I too throw a rear scallop dart but in 22g. Nice consistent grip every throw

Absolutely love it! 2nd favorite is a torpedo shape to form consistent grip right behind the max dia.

Nice throw Jen. I have a set of piranha razor grip and sometimes when i throw i twist at release. Not sure if its barrel or me, but think me more than dart. It occurs also on a cheap set with a fatter barrel. Both soft tip 18g

Interesting, have you ever filmed your release in slow motion? I'd recommend putting a camera right in front of you and to the side to maybe look more closely at this habit rather than going by feel. Perhaps too grippy of a dart gets caught in your release.

@@azdarts 21g is usually my first choice when available. Love the taper on the steel tip, but soft with conversion usually works just fine.

You could also use an add a gram accessory! We have noticed a trend in the United States with players beginning to prefer heavier and heavier soft tip weights. There are still weight limits of 20g at major competitions, however.
