I am home. I typically a not , but I was diagnosed with breast cancer in February and have had about 5 surgeries since then. I had my last surgery the day after Christmas, the last stage of my reconstruction. It’s been a blessing since my daughter Is on winter break and has been home to help me when I really need it. thank you for your videos, they bring me a lot of joy and are a welcome distraction. I know you live in a small town, but instead of taking anything to Goodwill, consider taking your bedding to the local animal shelter, clothing to the police department for the domestic violence house, toiletries to the local church or homeless shelter. It is a little extra time and effort on your part, but it is worth the effort, I promise. We have really pared back on donating to Goodwill after talking with a couple of the workers and found out how much of the donations they just turn around and throw in the garbage. It really upset me. I have also seen in person how grateful these charities are, because outside the holidays, people forget about them most of the rest of the year. I don't mean this to come off as preaching, just as an FYI. PS I have missed your videos and I am loving vlogmas, wish it was vlogyearmas...

Great video Jen. I got my ears pierced in 1973, the year I graduated and my Stepdad had to sign for it. Funny how times have changed. I love taking all the left overs out and just having that for dinner. A great way to clean out the refrigerator. I am doing a grocery delivery tomorrow for New Year’s Eve. I was going to call my favorite Pizzeria but decided to skip the cost and make Crock Pit Chili, homemade Corn Bread and garden salad. Trying to get back on track. See you tomorrow in your next video. Oh I leave my Christmas stuff until after January 6th, Three Kings Day. No cleaning until then. Love ya.z❤️

Like this video! Love new cookbooks! I'm determined to clean out a bookcase in my bedroom this coming week! Thankfully retired, so any day will do! The new camera is good, I felt you were talking in am lower voice only not to disturb the family. It wasn't bad tho, I heard it all just fine with my earphones and their volume was in super low. Also, one thing a friend told me years ago that worked for her. If you bring in something new into the house, something has to leave the house. It could be like for like or something different, the ratio was the key. It works for her, but not always for me. Happy New Year! Looking forward to what you have in store for 2025!

We probably made the post-Christmas Walmart run on the same day. I always buy wrapping paper for the next year at 50% off. However, my favorite thing to do is look for paper that can be used for birthday wrapping paper. This year I found a cool rainbow and colorful zebra designs for all wrap this year.

I was born in Peoria, IL. My grandma was a nurse at the hospital I was born at. I feel the same way. Ones every ambitious about what I wanted to do while off for Christmas. About 25% has been done. 😂

I am only going to say retail has gotten ridiculous. It seriously IS true that Easter things come in before Christmas of the year before even happens. Same with Halloween and Thanksgiving, while still summer and kids aren't even back to school. It's ridiiculous but if you want something, you'd also better snag it well ahead. I don't know all about it but I will say it's not the store so much as the manufacturer but the store gets it in and out on shelves it goes. Then customers start asking where is the Christmas candy, you already have Easter stuff out?? I'll leave it at that. If you're not on what you need, like three to six months early these days, whether decorations or food, you can probably forget it... I find it sickening but it truly is how it is....

I had to take the rest of my vacation time after Christmas Day so I took the 26th and 27th (great timing for Chanukah as it is the same as Christmas this year) so I took 2 days for Chanukah so that made 3 days off in a row. I did stay home for 2 of them and went shopping yesterday. Also tried to find a new international market that was near the mall and couldn’t find it. Grrr…. Anyway it was nice to have 3 days off. Back to work today. I work for 2 days and then I have 2 days off (I am part-time and then manager gives everyone 1-2 days off a week). I am thrilled to have NYE off this year. I worked it 5 years in a row.
