I was confused by that for a sec, too. Jen, I almost missed my sister's wedding due to food poisoning and it took 5 days before I lost that weird disconnected feeling. I got a bag of IV fluids at the ER, but fainted for the first time in my life so had to get a second bag. I know it's hard this time of year, but take it easy!

Feel better Jenn! When I became a mom, the week the kids went back to school I started making a winter sickness survival kit. It always included Ramon and cup of noodles! I keep everything anyone would need or want when sick in that rubber made tub. Including alcohol swabs! They’re great for nausea! I started this before door dash and uber of course, but I highly recommend it!

Hi Jen! I hope you’re feeling better! I know how ambitious you are, so getting sick now had to be tough. My holiday baking has not gone as planned. For some reason, time and a slight bout of depression and anxiety just got doing anything away from me this year. I’m not nearly ready for Christmas at all. I kept thinking that I had plenty of time to do all the things then everything just flatlined. I landed up making a pistachio cake that I am now calling a Grinch cake. It works, so good enough. Looking forward to see if you’ve gotten more done. I hope you have better luck than I did.❤

Glad you were able to bounce back quickly and resume your normal, albeit adjusted, Christmas schedule. We had a family member test positive for Covid and their quarantine overlaps when another family is leaving for a cruise. We will probably be doing our big family get-together in January. Not the life-lesson I was expecting to highlight this break about being resilient/accepting change, deferred gratification, and sacrifice for the good of the whole. Hope your family is over the hurdle and you can do all the fun things over the next few days!

Kwik Trip (/Star 😆) is headquartered in my hometown! I miss it soso much- it's the closest to a Japanese conbini in the states with all of the fresh food paired with the junk most often seen at gas station. We joke that they have the best fried chicken in Wisconsin bc there's no Popeye's on the west side of the state and KFC is absolutely rank these days 🤣🤣

Order SBs Honey Citrus Mint Tea…to make at home brew a mint (peppermint/spearmint) and a peach tea bag, warm lemonade, and honey. I add lemon juice or a true lemon packet and Truvia in place of lemonade. It clears your head and is just so comforting.

Wow, Walmart in your state sells liquor and wine??? Wow, lucky you. In NJ we have to go to separate liquor stores. I went to our local store yesterday to buy my boss some whisky and some Prosecco for me and Steve for New Year’s Eve. I like the small bottles - u get 3 in a pack. I also picked up some Pinot noir for Christmas Day (first night of Chanukah this year.) Glad u r feeling better. I am so thankful my son is not in school anymore because it is a nightmare for illness. In all the time Trev was in school we all got swine flu, strep throat, flu several times many colds, I could go on and on. I work in a supermarket so u can’t get me to go into any other market during Christmas time. Hubby said he wanted to go to Costco yesterday and I told him he is nuts, I wouldn’t do it He will never get out of there just for croissants. I can bring home croissants for him. We sell them in my bakery. He would rather wait. Until then he has English muffins, challah bread for French toast on the first morning of Chanukah (I have Wed-Fri off). HyVee is a great grocery store. I used to drive 40 minutes a couple times a month to do my grocery shopping there. When I lived in Burlington when I was in college we shopped every week at Hy-Vee. Love that store. Keokuk has a crazy busy Hy-Vee. Mac and cheese made with Velveeta is my favorite mac and cheese. Have a Merry Christmas. I love Conner's tshirt! That's so funny.

We have had a Kwik Trip here. It is in MN. We have had one for years. I love that place! They have really good breakfast English muffin sandwiches that are really good.
