The "someone sent a much higher offer" situation happened with me too. However, the house was already listed at the maximum it was appraised for. So I stuck to my initial offer of the asking price and guess what.. a couple days later that "higher offer" person backed out. I think it just was a trick to get me to pay more money. My recommendation is don't pay more than what it is worth. If it's meant to be, it'll happen. Worst case scenario is you keep hundreds of thousands of dollars in your bank account. Best of luck to your house hunting!

I, myself, am a 23 year old Asian woman living in Canada but I’m still living with my parents so it’s nice to vicariously live through you as you go through this process! And don’t even worry about offering anybody, it’s your life, it’s your channel. Sharing your house hunting journey shouldn’t be offensive, and is actually helpful for those who are going through the same thing. Personally, I would’ve loved to know what your budget was or how much each condo was going for because it gives me an idea of what I can get with the price. Can’t wait to see what’s next!!

the second condo 15 popped up, I knew that it was the one. those patches on the green walls, couldn't wait to see the renovations!! it's funny that when i'm watching this, I just lose my slot for something to someone else and I am too staying tune to see if I can get another slot. I'm so happy you could actually go and view a condo twice. In the netherlands, the house market is so crazy that people are putting in offers withouth ever visiting the place, because if you plan a visit first, someone else will have bought it already. Prices are insane. Really glad the situation is different for you over there.

Being able to buy a condo at 23 is a huge feat! You should def be proud and don’t be a afraid to show off your accomplishments! I know it may seem like bragging at times but buying property is really something to celebrate. I’m 25 and I’m very fortunate to be being a house as well in this competitive market, I made a ton of offers and saw a bunch of houses before I finally got the one so don’t give up! And definitely don’t make an offer too much above asking because you’ll have to cover the difference up front if it doesn’t appraise for that much. Good luck hunting! Keep up the great videos! 🎉💕

Okay so. Wow. I forgot how much i loved the apartment hunting videos. I remembering absolutely loving the last video about apartment hunting last year and this was such a pleasant surprise. This might sound weird but i love looking at all these places and just imagine living in these beautiful places. Plus this time, I'm particularly excited because every time you checked out a new place i was like, "what if this where she films all of her new videos?!" Now hear me out bestie, I'm not a fan of changes. And moving out is a big one. Im not mentally prepared to see you in another house. But. I'm so happy for you. I think it all comes down to how much more you are willing to put in and are you expecting the market to keep going up .. the answer is always yes .. I was doing my research online for a few months and then worked with an agent referred by my friend. I submitted an offer the first day after seeing 3 places and really fell in love with the 3rd one. Had to add 15k more which was recommended by the agent bc there were already more than 30 bids on this property... and there are companies bid a lot higher than me (yes they acquire properties and rent them out). This was in January, 2021. when the property price was already going crazy for a little while in Austin. Luckily the owners were super nice and I ended up getting the place. And as expected the house pricing is still going crazy .. my neighbor across the street just listed their condo for sale, you know what a year later the value of this place has gone up almost 200k......

I am almost a decade older and struggling afford Vancouver. The condos here are so expensive. All the ones that are not run down and in a half decent area start at like 700-800k minimum. We could buy a nice house in another city for that price! But I agree with you about the location being amazing. Also we can always move to a house in a cheaper place in the future. I need a large balcony.
