Yeah Kevin, I had this happen to my F2A-1 (actually the plane modeled is the F2A-2, but whatevs) Some dunderhead insisted on a head-on, but he got a hit on my engine which went yellow. No other issues. About 45 secs later - literally 45 secs, give or take - it went black and I had to glide to the airfield. I have noticed that it seems to depend on the engine type. Early radials seem to be very prone to this. I also had a similar, but less severe, situation in a Ki-43 after a light engine hit.

Kevin Bennett calm down, and deep breaths, relax. They have probably tweeked the fine adjustments a little bit to much again. I think that they are still trying to find the golden middle. Which is hard to do with so many different things going on at the same time. They will get there eventually.

This thing is a winged gunboat. You unload this mean hunk of plane down a strafe run and it just wipes everything out, topped off with the speed to zoom the hell out and engage freely

Damage model problem. Radial engines in theory should be able to fly with a few destroyed pistons. Performance wise though, it is better than Hs-123 and honestly if it wasn't for the bombload also better than the Ju-87.

The Ju-87B is a whole 30 km/h faster at best. Bombload and the ability to dive bomb are really the most relevant advantage of the stuka.

I just came back to this video to say this: I just purchased the 202 EC. Upon purchasing it, I took it for a test flight. Boy was I impressed. I have my test flights set to act like the plane would fly unspaded. Even with the 20mm gun pods, it still flew like a dream. Experience has taught me, how it flies in a test flight and how it flies in a game are two different issues all together. However, the EC flew like a dream there too. The gun pods do not seem to interfere with its ability to maneuver at all. This is totally different then any other country's planes with gun pods. Very impressed with this plane. Now I have it close to being spaded, and so far I can tell it is going to be one of my favourite planes. I imagine you will be doing a review of this plane shortly, so I have entered my opinion of the plane. In short: The 202 EC is probably one of the best planes in the game. Now, you You Tubers make sure you get it nerfed by saying it is over powered. Gaijin will waste no time in making it a piece of crap to make their You Tube commentators happy. :)

it doesnt climb very well and it has extreme control stiffening in a dive at highter speeds, its fun and good, but not the best plane in the game ;) review tomorrow :)

I have not experienced any control stiffening on it as of yet. I am sure as I spade it, it will get worse. One thing I have noticed playing WT, is that some planes perform better as stock planes, and as you spade them, they get worse to the point where they are unflyable by time they are fully spaded.

Hey Jengar! Cool vid, as usual. I agree completely with your analysis. This is a horizontal turner only. Its about as aerodynamic as a klomp flying sideways, so any energy from diving just bleeds away very quickly. Its got a weak-ish rudder, and its under-powered. I think its strengths are that the airframe seems fairly rugged, and its got good firepower for its BR. Gaijin probably deleted it deliberately, but the actual airplane could carry 4 x 50 Kg bombs INTERNALLY, with additional loads under the wings.

I would love to see more variants of this plane in an expanded ground attack line for the Italians. The Ba. 65 started out as a single-seat attack craft, sort of like the Russian IL-2. The Ba. 65bis was the first to feature a rear gunner, while an export model made for Portugal featured an uprated engine and power-operated rear turret with a better field of fire. Also, I think the payload options for this plane are inaccurate; according to what I've read, the plane could carry over 2,000 lbs. of ordnance internally and externally.

Indeed. I wonder how they're going to expand the Italian tech tree moving forward, since there's a boatload of aircraft that aren't represented yet. What about the Reggiane 2000-2005 series of fighter-bombers, which were never widely produced despite being among the best in their class? Then you have the obscure ones like the Ambrosini SAI.207, a lightweight wooden fighter which could hit 398 mph with only 750 hp on tap. The SAI.403 _Dardo_ (Dart), its much-improved derivative, touched 400 mph and mounted twin 15mm or 20mm MG-151 cannons.

Generally the almost similar weapons of Italian aircrafts has better maneuver than Germany's planes ,and the Lv1 class aircrafts has powerful 12.7mm machine gun to reign of other five national planes of Lv 1 !

The bombs made it a short work to spade this one. Best thing about this airplane is how nice it is to shoot down with the cr32 :P

I think, my personal opinion, that history is been unfair with that plane. In mid 30, the breda 65 was considered an excellent and modern plane, yet 3 years later was becoming obsolete (see stuka), but in the diving bombing the breda 65 performed very well in Spain, (in the battle of Aragon and ebrus especially) sometime destroying bridges only with 2 or 3 aircrafts, in 1940 it was obsolete but as ground attacker was much better than the old fighter bombers used for that as the cr32 or the fiat g50, so they asked all the existent ba 65 to be sent in lybia, the problem was that the production had stopped and the few existent was yet there. In early 1941 the last of these planes died, it could be used for sometime again in auxiliary and supporting roles, in Italy is considered a failure that (while there was a tradition of bombers from ww1, see the caproni, or the Sm79, sm81, fiat br20, Piaggio p108 etc) there wasn't a real assault air force for ground attack, indeed they used the stukas, but if the project of the ba 65 was upgraded and modernized, equipped with air brake etc it could survive some other time I guess. This plane in Italy is considered a failure but I think that judice is unfair. It was a good plane for mid late 30, and a good alternative to the old fighter bombers as the cr32 and fiat g50 as ground attacker.
