FYI, instead of paying the crazy prices for the Ball spice lids, the lids from shelf stable Parmesan and/or Romano cheeses fit regular mouth canning jars. I only use that type when I make my meatballs, so I’ve had my friends/family save them for me. Keeps them out of the landfill and they’re “free”!

I also love adding sea salt (a more coarse kind) to a canning jar and adding my fresh sprigs of rosemary, basil, or oregano and letting it fuse in my salt. Oh my goodness it's amazing!! And so pretty to look at. I actually did whole basil leaves in pink himalayan salt and it's so pretty. Smells amazing and adds great flavor! Great way to preserve fresh herbs :)

It wouldn't work to make the salts down here in Florida. The salt clumps up very quickly. However you have some great combinations made up!

And very clever as I have dehydrated mushrooms and have turned them into powder but never thought of adding more to them it sounds really good ,I have only added it to mayonnaise and omg it is soooo good ,I can follow your easy instructions as you are so through but I heard you mention something about adding I think pepper ,jenni I want you to know you are very “APPRECIATED “you have been my inspiration!!! I get it wherever it’s on sale. My daughter found these bags of salt on a clearance somewhere for like 30 cents a piece. So she bought a bunch. The pink salt works great for these! 😊
