It took me a few views to realize that the SLAMMING of the board in those manuals are almost definitely for comedic purposes. It wasn't immediately clear to me but I get it now - and it's actually kind of clever. Even for someone who rides so heavy-footed, manuals are too light+precise to do that unless you have really decent control over them in the first place. It was then that I knew he's doing a bit, because he slams them down that way a few times and then re-establishes the manual. Sort of. I think there's a fine line with this guy, not all of it is just for yucks.
