I love Molly so much! I laughed so hard when she tackled the kid with the hockey stick. I love your take on the Minnesota accent. You betcha! Billy Bob Thornton is just so chilling in this, I can't picture anyone else doing the role. He was in Armageddon as the main NASA guy who talks to Bruce Willis' crew. Amazing character actor!
@gaz-l62117 күн бұрын
1:17:09 is one of my favourite moments. Molly just instantly knowing the answer to Malvo's question, making it clear to us as the audience that she's every bit as smart as he thinks he is.

Season 1 is awesome. Many great parallels to the film, with its own characters being just as charming and memorable, and the story keeps you hooked start to finish. Molly, much like Marge, is a real standout. Looking forward to part two!

S1 borrows a lot from the movie, but in a cut-up ransom letter kinda way😅 I love all the nods to Fargo, and then to other Coen movies in later seasons.

When Jen mentioned hiding a cell phone in her sock. If you don't know already here's a handy piece of advice. Any cell phone even if it doesn't have a current carrier will still dial 911. So it's not a bad idea to have an old phone in your car or home in case you can't get to your current phone.

This show (except season 4) is filmed in Calgary. It almost takes me out of the show with how familiar the settings are. My grandma lived near the diner in S1, and I worked at the hotel in S2. That extra familiarity helps make this one of my all-time favorite shows.
@BarebonesNetwork-w3s27 күн бұрын
I saw this show when it first aired. To me, this was must see television. At the end of each episode, I couldn't wait until the next one. I bought the Blu-ray version when it came out. Definitely worth owning. As for other films saying that they were based on a true story when it wasn't, I'm not sure if there are any others, but I remember some movies claiming to be based on true events, meaning some or maybe even a lot of liberties were taken to make the story more interesting than it actually was.

Accidents DO happen at the library. I went to college with a girl who worked at her local library and dislocated her jaw and, I believe, had to have it wired shut. How, you ask? She yawned so much and so wide that she dislocated it. When she told me that, I said, "No way, you're messin' with me," and she said, "Nope. That's what happened." Then I cracked up. I suppose if there's an injury occurring at the library, that completely tracks. 🤣 I never forgot that though 'cause it's kinda a bit frightening to think you can do that to yourself by just yawning too wide.

In 6th grade I had a history teacher that had a gross story. She used an envelope she found in an older drawer and cut her tongue. A long time later she felt something moving under the surface of her tongue and she went to the doctor to get it checked out. Turns out she somehow got roach eggs into her tongue and they hatched.

28:28 the gun was a shotgun and all shotguns can fire a multitude of different shot shells that range from around #10 at the smallest which are like corse sugar size to buckshot which itself comes in many sizes all the way up about 1/4” (~6mm) and then you have slugs which are a massive bullet essentially and you have some that even have a mixture of all of those and even crazy ammo like dragons breath which shoots a fireball. Point is he probably got his with a buckshot pellet because when shotgun fire the shot (pellets) spreads out more and more the further away you are so one of the “flyers” probably hit him although in real life the spread probably wouldn’t have been more than like 6” at that range with that shotgun but I could be wrong cause I’m not really a shotgun guy
