Actually in UAE (Dubai and Abu Dhabi) if you lost something or forget something they will return or give it back to you because nobody will steal anything there, they're all afraid of the punishments, they have hidden security cameras everywhere and it's the only country where Police don't carry any weapons, they don't even have a cudgel with them.

Oh no, losing your phone is the worst! Especially when you're in an unfamiliar place. I was so happy to hear that you've got it returned to you! Lost mine once at the Panama Canal and had to navigate my way through Panama City on a mission to find it! Ended up at a Hard Rock Cafe, asking employee after employee in Spanish where I could find my phone until someone finally knew and returned it to me!

Hey Jenn, Apple Employee here. You don't need to download the Find My iPhone app. Just go to Settings > iCloud > turn on Find My iPhone. It will ask for a password to your Apple ID. Buy more iCloud storage because you only get 5 GB free and if your iPhone has more than 5GB of info it will not be backed up at all. Settings > iCloud > Storage > Change Storage Plan. Then make sure that iCloud backup is turned on. Settings > iCloud > Backup (turn switch to green and press 'Back Up Now'). After this if you ever need to locate your iPhone just go to iCloud.com through another browser. 😉

SO I can TOTALLY vouch for everything in this video!!! Your eyes do not deceive you, Dubai is that beautiful with the nicest community and people!!! It has such a unique, and grand culture - and its breathtaking. My boyfriend actually lost his very expensive cannon camera - left it on the plane-- we didn't realize it until going all the way through customs and the plane was cleaned out. But luckily, they did the same thing, tracked and it down and we got it back!!! Love Dubai!!!

Dubai has questionable policies and standards for human rights including a poor record of freedom of speech and press, labour rights offenses bad enough to be called modern slavery, illegalization of homosexuality (including the technical possibility of the death sentence as punishment), legally required dress code, religious freedom granted more or less only to foreigners (though even foreigners are not allowed to share their beliefs or apostatize), torture of protestors and political dissenters, legalized discrimination against women, legal punishments for sex outside of marriage, and more. Jenn, I believe you should address this.

Dubai's human rights violation are very well documented, so I have no question that Jenn would have come across some of this in a quick Google search before her trip. It's not asking too much for someone to investigate their business partners a bit before working with them. Yes, I understand it's complex ethically - the fact that you disagree with some politics of a country might not stop you from working with their tourism industry. However, the fact that it's such an extreme case, in my view, means that Jenn should have answered to it. The fact that you work in fashion doesn't mean you have no influence or that you should act mindlessly or unethically.

I'm not completely sure of everything they do but the youtubers hire a manager, who help them organize things like business trips and find projects/collaboration with different brands. Within their channel I think the youtubers do what they want to do, but externally when it comes to reaching out to companies or sponsorships then that's when the manager comes in to help.

Men in Dubai aren't held accountable for rape and gang rape therefore much more likely to commit these crimes. If a woman gets raped and reports it the woman gets imprisoned often for over a year for "extramarital sex" and you can even be convicted for drinking alcohol "without permission" thrown on top of that. Any displays of affection between the opposite sex are illegal and the police can imprison you for that. I would never visit this place on principle even if I was in my hotel room by 9pm every night. There have been reports of women being woken up to rape when they thought they were safe in their room.

Yeah, this is why I refuse to go on a holiday to any Middle Eastern country as well. I'm sure an average person on the street is lovely and all that but when the whole culture is so deeply immersed in a religion too, on top of everything else, which takes away an individual's right to leave that religion or choose their own way of life as they wish, it's just depressing and wrong.

I went to Dubai last week and can honestly say that as a blonde young woman I have never felt as safe before when travelling. (even in europe) The service level in dubai is really something else and it is refreshing to see a place where tourists are not constantly getting scammed. Travelling to UAE is a great opportunity to experience a totally different culture
