Jenn Goes To Toronto & Other Places Too! | August Vlog

Wow! August was crazy to say the least. I kick off the month with a trip to Toronto. I filmed the Eggie lookbook with Kastor & Pollux and have a divine time in the city. I head out to Jackie's epic 30th birthday and head out to Beautycon LA. Then I'm off to New York again for the press preview for Eggie and chat about my mental growth this year.

Love that you open up about the downsides of your job as well, Jenn! Sometimes the lives of influencers seem so perfect on their social media etc that it can make viewers feel sad/ depressed because we compare ourselves to them and of course our lives feel far less exciting and glamorous. I think more youtubers should be brave enough to be real once in a while, and show that it's a learning curve, nothing happens overnight and everyone has insecurities. Thank you

I love how sincere you are! Opening up like this to us viewers does not only make you more approachable but shows how social media paints a very unrealistic picture of people we admire - I personally sometimes feel overwhelmed by how infallible others appear to be in contrast to my flawed self. Your makeup looks throughout this video is poppin'! Would love to see a tutorial on using yellow/orange eyeshadow (I've noticed you have been using those colors) if you get the chance to film one. I just bought a yellow and an orange shadow and I'm struggling with figuring out how to use them. Love you aND I'M SO EXCITED ABOUT EGGIE!

Hey! Just a suggestion here, but I would use the orange shadow as the base but a light layer, and darken it out towards the outer corners of your eyelids, then pop the yellow right under it to fill up only til the crease! :) it looks great when it leads from light to dark as sort of a gradient effect in my opinion :)

My mom and I were just talking about stressful situations regarding work environment and I told her how this one manager keeps verbally attacking me with negativity and I just vented to her about how I wanted to quit because I'm so sick of hearing his constant comments with his view on my work ethic and she responded with, "God is testing you with challenges. And every time you are able to surpass those stressful moments, God will reward you with great ones". Although you seem very excited and extremely thankful for this opportunity, you looked pretty emotionally overwhelmed at the end of this vlog.
