Left handed underwriter here. And I love Tomoe River. So I've just adapted to use it. A nib I love is the Pilot Waverly nib. It really writes smooth from below the line (as a lefty underwriter). The lubricated and larger nib recommendations are spot on. Thanks

Thanks; very helpful. I'm thinking about getting a fountain pen set up. One big problem I have: the lighting is a big problem. When I write at my computer desk, my hand casts a shadow where I'm going to write next. Turning the notebook a bit sideways helps a bit, but it's still a problem. This "hand shadow" problem has kept me from being a consistent journalist. Mybe I'll figure it out. Thanks again.

As a lefty I've try under writing and I don't like it, don't coming from above is a lot more comfortable for me.

You could always try writing from the bottom line up (if it's just for you!)

Writing from above !@@bestthingeverbyjenn Sure, it's way easier than what I do: writing from right to left! You can also split the page in two vertical column. Start with the second column, than write in the first one. Or just learn Arabic or Hebrew

Just a small think: your mic seem to clip a little bit. The gain might be too high.
