Jenn vblog #87: Neti Pot FAIL

Meant to make this vlog back around the time when this event happened, but... I got sidetracked, LOL. So I'm sharing this story of epic fail with you guys now. ;)

Hmm, maybe you positioned your head incorrectly? That has never happened to me. The sensation must be horrible, like when you get ocean water in your nose by accident. I remember once I over heated the water for the neti pot plus the salt? Ooouch!

I think I got the head positioning just fine since everything drained how it was supposed to (it just went down the back of my throat a tiny bit when I stood back up to switch sides), but for how hot it was, it did NOT take much to scald the back of my throat with it. -_- It was actually more akin to that feeling of when you drink something that's way too hot and don't realize until you've scalded your tongue that it was quite that hot, LOL, and then it hurts for several days. So....like that, but more sensitive since the back of the throat is way more delicate than the tongue, LOL. Plus it swelled pretty bad, but that thankfully came down by the next day, even though the pain lingered for 3 or 4. Needless to say, I've been VERY careful about the temperature each time I've used it since!
