im pretty sure Edison spent years trying to denounce tesla's alternating current in favor of edison's preferred direct current. Then, when everyone realized alternating current was better and safer, Edison started using it for inventions and contracts without paying Tesla due proceeds or acknowledgement. Then Edison went on to be worth a lot of money while Tesla was stuck in poverty because of a bad business deal. I cant really blame Tesla for throwing that verbal punch when Edison died.

I know Jenna was mostly joking about worrying that she’s just a distraction but GIRL.... you don’t understand how valuable your content is to me. This is TMI and weirdly sappy but here’s the truth... From January to June of this past year I had a complication with my chronic illness that left me waking up every night, multiple times a night feeling violently ill - but I always had you and julien to keep me company in the middle of the night, and that brought me so much comfort, and always helped me fall back asleep. This year I’ve also been trying to work through some trauma. There were many times when I felt I couldn’t handle the amount of pain I was in, but I would be all alone with no one there to help me push through the emotions. It was nice I could always count on your podcast to be there to help me calm down and get back to a more grounded state. Sometimes people’s life circumstances are painful, and a “distraction” is the most amazing thing you could possibly give them. And nobody has the ability to distract me like you and julien do with your sweet, uplifting content. Thank you for being a “friend” that has helped me get through so many rough moments this year
