My suggestion is since you have left over of the same colored yarn 🧶 then you should make a matching sweater for you of the same colors to match Benson that would be so cute 🥰

I followed this tutorial loosely, didn't buy the pattern, and so far it's coming out beautifully. I had to frog the tummy panel, and start over to make it more narrow for my dog, but as of today the torso/body section is all done. I have to start the neck portion and am considering picking up the stitches and knitting in the round decreasing as needed. Look up stretchy cast on and bind off methods for best results. Thanks for posting this! It was really easy, and my dog likes her new gear.

I’ve listened to the Harry Potter series 4 times, read them them twice and cannot count the number of times I’ve watched the movies. Listening to Jim Dale read is my favorite! OMG! The more I watch, the more I'm convinced our dogs are distantly related lol from the constant licking, to the falling asleep at all hours of the day, to the the stretches, the need to be in bed (or look like they need to be in bed) and the desire to be super warm (to the point where there little bare belly will almost burn your hand) these dogs are long lost brothers and its hilarious. The Benson sweater is so cute and meets the most important criterion for boy dog clothing! 😂 Have you knitted socks? Marly Bird has a free pattern My First Socks in worsted weight, which goes pretty fast. Once you’ve knitted one and get a feel for the construction, you’re good to go on trying different weights of yarn, cuff down or toe up, and all sorts of heels. I wear my wool hand-knitted socks around the house and they’re great because they don’t need washed as often. But I don’t like them in my ‘runners’ (you can take the girl out of 🇨🇦 but you can’t take 🇨🇦 out of the girl!).

What kind of dog is Benson? I am considering getting a dog but need one who doesn't need a lot of exercise or walking because I am struggling with bad knees and poor balance. Thanks for your help.

I think sticking with smaller breeds is a good idea! I’m not sure what benson is but adopting a dog that isn’t a puppy would probably be best for your case because dogs who are younger have more energy and require more walking and playing to get that energy out. I have a yorkie and he’s 100% content with a short walk and then being able to run outside in our fenced in yard for a little while each day. Other than that he sleeps right next to me while I work.
