I like the subtle homage with the kimono too. Reminds me of the Kick Inside era... The singer, Jennie Abrahamson, participated in a big orchestral tribute concert to Kate Bush's career in Sweden this spring. I think the concert is available in full on Vimeo if you want to see this accompanied by an orchestra -- it was fantastic!

It's a pretty good rendition of a fantastically difficult song. I think she got a little more confident after the first verse, at least she sounded that way to my (very amateur) ear. I like the last "cold" she sang especially.

Just brilliant. I would have liked to have heard a little more intensity from all of the band in the middle eight. I mean, she literally crying out for his very soul. But, otherwise, perhaps the best cover i've heard. And one of the very small few, I've been able to listen to all the way through.

I like this and the Kate Bush version. I feel tied to the song as I once stayed in the house Emily Bronte once lived. It is a Bed and Breakfast in Banagher, a town in the middle of Ireland on the river Shannon. I felt a ghostly presence at breakfast. My ex, our child and I were the only guests. The room we stayed also had a trace of the spiritual world. A friend of mine once asked if I had enjoyed the book. I told him I had not. I liked however the song and would always like it. Since then I have fallen in love with the book and the film. I once visited Thornton, the village where Emily Bronte was from. There was an old church with a graveyard and crows crahing in the trees. The house where she was grew up is in Haworth, a town surrounded by marshes. The aforementioned friend has been missing in my life for over twenty years. I am not sure if he is alive or dead but either way, he was right about the book, the song captures so much of the hauting world of a home in the marshes, with fog and nature encroaching from different angles

This is one K8T song no one should ever try to sing, it is the one that shot her into the spot light and so no one can ever cover it well no matter how good their voice and Jennies voice is brilliant. She has sung a number of songs no one else thinks of when covering K8T songs, "Dream of Sheep" and "Under The Ice" t name two of them and she is sublime in those covers. The only downside is they are on channels that have disabled comments

Very very tough song to cover. It’s one of the hardest I’ve ever heard. I still haven’t heard a version that does it. The way Kate’s lyrical phrasing is during the chorus.... something needs to be added and the covers don’t do it. Still, lovely song and I applaud her. Good luck everybody
