If you pay attention, that’s how Norton sorts out his interview order, too. He calls out the engenues and additional guests first, then rolls out the featured guest. TL; DR : perhaps you don’t think Dame Andrews is a climactic event, but I, performing arts tradition, and the English language do not necessarily agree with you. Even shorter version: is it ruder to get a list order wrong or to interrupt a warm collection of women of various ages rejoicing in an equally multigenerational gathering of impressive women with a snark about what may or may not be a slight protocol error?

I heard a story from the original Power Rangers cast about this. They were traveling to Universal Studios to do a live show and traffic was backed up throughout the city and they were so confused as to why. So when they asked their director he was like "This is for you guys.
