I got to go to one of her workshops in Chicago a few years ago. She's an AWESOME person and one hell of a guitar player! Saw her twice on two Jeff Beck tours!

As always Jason Man you have served up an ACE...This was so much fun to watch and listen to. PLEASE include yourself as one of the NICEST HUMANS around Jason...you always give so much credit to your guests and rightfully so as they ALL seem to let their "Rock and Roll Guards" down when talking to you and the end result is WE the Fans get the best possible interview and you all end up sounding like Friends just shooting the breeze "backstage"! I had the privilege of seeing Jeff Beck but this was before Jennifer joined the stage with him. I did love hearing how when she was at Japan Disney along with a little known back up singer at the time...one Cheryl Crow....love these Rock foot-note type discoveries!! I'm convinced as I'm sure your Fan Base is too Jason...that when you are done and you're walking away from these interviews the "Guests" are the ones going "Man, I wish ALL my interviews were this much FUN"!! You Sir Deliver The Goods. Cheers from Ohio!

Oh my dear "The Stuport"!! You sir really know how to make me feel very satisfied with what I do. Thank you my friend. I am honoured (Australian & UK spelling same with Colour, Favourite, Flavour & many other words) to have you as a part of this little Universe I am creating here. Truth be told, I've heard that from many of these guys & girls over the years. One of my first ever interviews was with Jordan Rudess from Dream Theater who is now a really good friend of mine. If you ever meet him feel free to drop my name. He said to me after the interview we did back in 2007 something along the lines of, "Wow. I'm really impressed. I rarely get asked such good & well researched questions" to which I answered, "The only research I did is that I'm a big fan of yours". It was a print interview so I'll need to try and find it to put on my website sometime.

Smiles...welp, there you go. Love Dream Theater and Jordan "Get's It" just like your Fan Base does too....your passion and genuine love for your craft pours out of your soul and that is what I'm talking about when you do these videos....we ALL dig your style and so does the "subject" of the interviews.....Rock On Mate and Thanks as always for the replies! Cheers from Ohio

Jason: What a nice interview with an amazing player. Jennifer is indeed fantastic - I'll never forget when I first saw/heard her play with Michael. Funny thing: Joshua Rogers! I connected with him via email and youtube. He's the guy who introduced this fantastic boutique guitar shop in Hong Kong called Uni-Sound. He's also the guy who helped me to cement my mind about going with an AX8, again through Uni-Sound - I will be closing the deal on that within the next 6 months. As well as a gorgeous Suhr HSS superstrat at Uni-Sound [they are the sole dealer for Fractal and Suhr in Hong Kong]. I missed hearing Joshua play late last year when he was in Shenzhen, but absolutely intend try and meet with him next time he is in this part of the world. Indeed a lovely guy, fantastic player and man...what a small world that he's a buddy of yours! cheers!

I'm happy you enjoyed the video. Thank you. However I'm just curious, where are you getting your AX8 & Suhr HSS Superstrat from again? Just don't think you gave store that's not Ishibashi Music enough of a plug 😝
@joesatchton2127 жыл бұрын
haha, Jason....! Sorry, that was clearly not my intent. :) Besides, that shop is here in Hong Kong and is a tiny place. Though I have not yet visited Ishibashi Music, from what I can see in your vids, that boutique shop I mentioned would likely fit entirely in the space occupied by your PRS display... :P :D

@Jason: haha, no worries! I got it from the start....but this being youtube, well, I am sure you understand why I replied as I did... Ishibashi Music seems amazing. Next time I am in Japan, please advise your staff that a pain in the ass ex-NYC guy now living in Hong Kong might pop by. lol....High on my list is to check out your collection of Knaggs guitars [lifelong Steve Stevens fan].... And yes, Jason, I hope to have the opportunity to buy you a sake or three... cheers!

Boy that's some pretty technical details and components on that guitar. Really a bit much for a drummer, like myself, to comprehend it all, but very fitting for the technical player she is. I am very interested in guitar and do look to advance myself in that area more so, thus my interest in this channel. Again ultra smooth interview Jason! Not to minimize the magnitude of your company and position, but I think a promotion is in order for your interview skills alone. I wouldn't be surprised if you receive some serious offers (not that you haven't....) Pretty talented and educated with all the languages as well I must add....English, German, Japanese, Spanish, etc? Nice to see my friends have already tuned in and made some nice comments.

As always good sir, you flatter me beyond belief. Thank you JPL. You're a good man & I am a grateful fan of yours as well. You may think that strange, but what I mean is I am a huge fan of people on this planet who go out of their way to make others feel happy to be alive. You are most certainly one such person, hence I love your work mate!! Now I know you are a drummer, you may enjoy this Drum Solo video I made for Marco Minnemann in 2014: www.jasonmcnamara.net/concert-videos/marco-minnemann/

Thank you good sir. It's not exactly difficult because as a filmmaker Marco gives you so much to work with.
@JanPatrickLucas7 жыл бұрын
I hope you have the chance to film more like that. I'm sure other (drummers) would love you to capture them with the same thorough intensity. On a side note I thought it was huge win for Marco to play with Joe Satriani. We both know how special Joe is!
