Saw Jennifer Batten at the Rock Hall tribute to Les Paul in Cleveland in 2008. She came out alone and used one guitar and looper to build all 8 tracks for Les' song Lover. No pre-recorded stuff. It was nuts. Lover was the first professional song Les recorded using multi-tracking. Recorded in Les' garage in 1948, it was done on acetate. No tape back then. Literally every recording using multi-tracks of any kind can trace the tech back to Les and that first recording.
