This woman!! Ugh. 2:25 gets me. She cries so well in a script but you know it's for real when she gets embarrassed and does that smile/hiccup thing to try to recover and continue. She is this beautiful paradox of vulnerability and strength. Her genuine spirit shines through in just about every interview or speech I have seen from her. In case you couldn't tell I'm kind of a fan of the girl? ;)

Jeniffer is so talented and charming. She is truly a lovely person. We are blessed to have her supporting gay rights. She is a great speaker and I thank you for posting this video. The L-Word made history and open a lot of doors for the gay community.

Jennifer Beals, a woman of limitless compassion and understanding for what she would term "other". A people or community that feel left out, not a part of something larger, or lacking identity. I might venture to think Jennifer has this great empathy because she herself was born bi-racial 1963 in the heat of the beginning of the 60's civil rights riots, intolerance and new movement to establish equality where there really had never been. Jennifer probably experienced as a child persecution, bullying, isolation, and perhaps loneliness. I imagine that she is prone to tears when something is personally touching her heart. That is what makes her genuine, truthful, compassionate and warm to others. This all helps her to be the articulate, gracious, and eloquent speaker she has become. Not only a gifted and talented veteren actress, but a truly beautiful woman inside and out. This beautiful spirit inside is what radiates outward and we all benefit by that spirit. 2/17/15

I was shocked to see something I wrote regarding my personal insight to Jennifer here in google under JB's information and picture at one of the speaking engagements she has had. I have been so touched by Jennifer's sweet spirit that radiates when she is speaking from her heart. It is an honor to write and share my personal thoughts on this gifted and dynamic woman who has grown in maturity, compassion, and wisdom over the years. Her humanity is a gift to our world. Carol L. @JennSicky and I'm gay myself, she doesn't have to take the time out she does to support gay rights but she does, her being straight gives more impetus for straight people who don't support gay rights to listen-to understand we all live in the same world and should respect eachother..sexuality shouldn't come into it - "get back to her wonderful hetero life" you sound a little bitter :p..n kinder contradicting wha d gay movement's about. no offence, jus feel she deserve credit not the opposite :)

im pleased to see anyone excited about politics and the presidential election. However its always sad to see this now, years after the election and see no change has occured with Obama. Sadly the economy is even worse off now than it was years ago. California unemployment was about 13% last i checked, Nevada was over 14%.

i'm happy for Jennifer Beals for geting up on stage and what is this we shit does she really thing because she was on the l word she knows what being a lesbian feels like, i like her and she is a good actress and all but she thinks she knows it all but she dont know a thing about the lesbian life u know there should be a person up there like a LESBIAN she just should get back to her wonder full hedro life.PS. i liked the little fake cry like i said she is a good actress but no this time hunny!!
@NFrostick8713 жыл бұрын
@JennSicky someone being a bit prejudice hmm, the issue is getting heterosexuals to accept gay people n that we are all human and should live as equals...Jeniffer is a devoted passionate supporter of that, then your saying stuff like..no it should be a lesbian up there, she dont know what it like to be lesbian..Hello, doesn't mean being hetero she then can't have an understanding of inequality. Lesbians should be grateful she uses her position of having been in the lword to promote gay rights

sexuallity should come into it. and we do not live in the same world, and we should not respect eachother. you really don't know anything. you lost. as you're confused yourself, it's only your own loss.
